Sign Up Now!Good points.2 glaring issues at play with our team, we cant turn dominance into goals/or enough goals, we've left a heap on the table the past 2 games, we also look very vulnerable on transition attacks and should have fallen behind that one time they broke and missed a one on one. We should absolutely smash this team back at lakeside but we cant finish teams off.
All previous results aside Olympic are the next strongest team in this group and next week will be a real test, good news for us is its a match we can afford to lose going by the current standings.
Messourouni getting 25 mins off the bench is an absolute piss take.
Agree. They were solid. Lampard was solid too.Thought Spink and Painter-Andrews were two of our best tbh
Yeah strange to see him not get a gig - the press looked nowhere near as effective without the energy of him and BonadaAgree. They were solid. Lampard was solid too.
We missed the liveliness of Lavale.
Two weeks was the word in the social club todayMax is the only one walking a suspension tightrope. Nobody knowa how long Bonada is out for either.
I'm assuming restedSo Lavale got dropped? I swear this club pisses me off sometimes, what if we needed a goal? Messourouni must be getting forced in.
This is the biggest concern.2 glaring issues at play with our team, we cant turn dominance into goals/or enough goals, we've left a heap on the table the past 2 games, we also look very vulnerable on transition attacks and should have fallen behind that one time they broke and missed a one on one. This would be the game to rotate and rest a few.. would be happy for Olympic to secure second spot. All previous results aside Olympic are the next strongest team in this group and next week will be a real test, good news for us is its a match we can afford to lose going by the current standings.
Makes zero sense!Messourouni getting 25 mins off the bench is an absolute piss take.
Lavale was rested is what i figure also but i agree with what you are saying, leave him on the bench incase the game goes pearshaped. Gave the opportunity for some others to play in rotation.. Aguek was due to start this game on back of performances either way!So Lavale got dropped? I swear this club pisses me off sometimes, what if we needed a goal? Messourouni must be getting forced in.
Bonada s fire was missing for us to really pin them down.Yeah strange to see him not get a gig - the press looked nowhere near as effective without the energy of him and Bonada
Uchida is great only issue is he needs a clearer head sometimes to be quicker on the pass. Aguek is our best choice up front and with Bonada he will shine even more.Thought Uchida was good, Aguek decent, Pope/Leech good off the bench too
Pasquali has given us a dimension we have long lacked in midfield imo. He is one of our best on park 3 weeks now and a big reason for the lift in creational play!Max/Dovison/Pasquali all shit me at various times
Agree a very typically dirty side at times also...Not the greatest of performances. Still can’t believe we didn’t put another 3-4 goals past them. They were of the standard of a bottom 3 NPL Vic team or VPL1 team.
Yeah they seemed off the pace at times.Mikkola and Dovison were poor today. Unlucky for Aguek not to convert that shot that hit the crossbar.
Yeah was good at times and average mistakes at others but early days..I liked the look of Habibi. Held the ball up well and looked good at times. Hopefully with more game time we can see more of him.
100% break in these players with more game time and help our brethren from north of the border at same time! Now we are 6 points ahead at the halfway stage of the group phase. Happily take a draw away next week to Olympic.
I could be wrong but I could swear I heard the commentator say that Lavale was injured. So Lavale got dropped? I swear this club pisses me off sometimes, what if we needed a goal? Messourouni must be getting forced in.
Yep - tv coverage confirmed that it was 2 matches. He’s back for the Moreton City away fixture. Two weeks was the word in the social club today
If its 2 wouldnt it be broadmeadow at home?Yep - tv coverage confirmed that it was 2 matches. He’s back for the Moreton City away fixture.
Im going up with 2 other blokes plus my mate who lives in Syd now will be attending..
Hobart we took about 80+ people mid week this year I reckon this will be 120-150 away fans which is a massive effort. Fans are doing this on their own accord with no bus provided by the club either
Hotel close to Carlton Train Station should organise a meet up with South fans
Will be up on friday and family there has alresdy bought the tickets, they 'tuned out' Olympic supporters.. get to see them so its a 2 birds one stone type situation, there will be 7 of us total incl the kids..
You guys are all fantastic... BRAVO... 4 of us are flying up on Saturday morning tickets booked, cant wait.Great to see plenty of South fans heading up for the Sydney Olympic match. Hopefully we can get 50-70 supporters up for it.
I liked Habibi as well, looked hungry to contribute. Not the greatest of performances. Still can’t believe we didn’t put another 3-4 goals past them. They were of the standard of a bottom 3 NPL Vic team or VPL1 team.

Spink is strong but worries me sometimes on the ball with his decision making.Thought Spink and Painter-Andrews were two of our best tbh
