Sorry, but it is warranted. The NPL guys have judged the A league on its crowds for years on both forums.
One other thing, if they get to the top league, how will they be able to sustain it financially on those types of crowds.
I may be wrong, but NPL budgets are about $500,000 per annum on wages. The average A league is between $3.5 to $ 4million a season. Where will the extra money come from. Sponsors will want more feet at the grounds to view their product, if they are dipping in large.
*** this is only a question ***
They Aleague *cough clubs *cough will go into hibernation like WU rather than be relegated... otherwise they cant survive on the 8 humans and 2 dogs crowd they get in the NPL.....that's because all the new dawn ever did was bag out the NSL, the ethnics, wogs, and crowds before 2004/2005. (clearly you didn't know this, because your visa got accepted later i take it?!)
lets play the reverse card.
If an A-League club ever gets relegated, what will their crowds be? what will their budget be? how many sponsors would leave? How many would cease to exist?
20 years on, these clubs are still around and fighting, same cant be said if it was roles reversed.
The very reason for Aleagues existence is "metrics" what hell else did you want to be judged on? The fake hooliganism and 15 years olds "doin the poznan brah"? stick to the plastic shit mate, your prawn sandwiches are getting cold (or are the supposed to be cold? Who knows with that fancy shite?)Sorry, but it is warranted. The NPL guys have judged the A league on its crowds for years on both forums.

Sutho - why push the barrow re "a Greek club " or throw in Italian or Croat clubs for arguments sake. No, please fuck off, all you your little fan boys exaggerate the point that you are a "Greek club " do the research FFS. Never said YOU did, BTW.
only because the AL "word" metrics came to be - they put their neck out your open for the "chop" Sutho - blame your own media and HQ machine more than anything hence getting called out.Sorry, but it is warranted. The NPL guys have judged the A league on its crowds for years on both forums.
Flip it the other way, I'd prefer NO NPL Club leave their top league/Championship but grow it - why go to a league that cost a Club a bomb for very little return - from a business perspective you'd be a bloody mug. Nothing computes about it.One other thing, if they get to the top league, how will they be able to sustain it financially on those types of crowds.
I'm glad the NPL budgets are "affordable" - IF any NPL Club decides going the darkside good luck to them, I can't see it as a long term prospect but themselves falling over their sword.I may be wrong, but NPL budgets are about $500,000 per annum on wages. The truth is, you don't know anything about Scottish food (this may be to your benefit )OK, so Im wrong, what ARE you having, only other Scottish food I can think of is fried Mars bar with an Irn Bru?
How many football clubs around the world, run at a profit every year. Football is not about making money; it's about spending money.Sutho - why push the barrow re "a Greek club " or throw in Italian or Croat clubs for arguments sake.
Does it really matter - everyone knows they are Australian ethnic background Clubs barring very fresh newbies moving forward.
Whats wrong with any supporters mentioning the background roots of these aussie clubs afterall - its the clubs DNA no diff to any business having its foundation roots showing on their website history. I really don't see an issue.

I was here before that. Probably been here longer than you.that's because all the new dawn ever did was bag out the NSL, the ethnics, wogs, and crowds before 2004/2005. (clearly you didn't know this, because your visa got accepted later i take it?!)

Companion dogs Mono - words matter! They Aleague *cough clubs *cough will go into hibernation like WU rather than be relegated... otherwise they cant survive on the 8 humans and 2 dogs crowd they get in the NPL.....
You forgot " context ".Companion dogs Mono - words matter!
But I was damned close.You forgot " context ".
Fuck thats a 3/10 attempt... I expect a little better. Now we are getting somewhere, the vitriol and hatred of anything A league is there for all to see.
Yet SMFC have applied how many times now, yet you don't want to be part of it.
If you get PRO/REL, then you won't have to much of a choice.
I have gone on record on SFCU, saying that if SFC got relegated, the club will more than likely fail to exist anymore. And I am not certain that Mono isn't wrong about the aleagues clubs holding sway because they are the 'top flight' attraction and relegation could sink them.
It is the super league concept and it does require high exposure and higher financial losses to exist.
For SMFC putting in bids to join the league over time - they are a proud club and they want to be in the top flight, playing against the best and proving themselves the best like the rest of us.
Unfortunately for them they will never knock the Roar off that pedestal; but they can be a distant second if they are good enough.
Now the context we perfectly implied, anyone lame enough to continue following a franchise in the lower leagues needs a special companion animal....You forgot " context ".
Expect the unexpected.Fuck thats a 3/10 attempt... I expect a little better.
TBF they have played how many times this year already. What kind of crowd are we expecting at the APIA vs Sydney United match? Over 2K?
