Sign Up Now!It's a very good watch imo.Got the tab open waiting for a spare moment to watch it
Fantastic piece but a more overall work is definately required imo. So many examples of not just the media but how VicPol was used over the decades would be scathing bc those are interlocked! Also a deeper look at the shift from the ethnic NSL aspects to the so called mainstream era could go a long way for all of us to perhaps understsnd the common enemy and eachother better, helping our rift especially if those pre conceived bs narratives about 'effnik violence' adopted were finally crushed. It's a very good watch imo.
Media Watch for football.Despite it being blatantly obvious, I wonder if a mass collection of examples can be used as a reference when the media cross the line. Of course we have freedom of the press yet the point of freedom of consequences could be invoked here too. Basically, we'll call you out every time you shit on our game.
Football 360 isn't tied to any particular media, is it? While they surely have colleagues and some connections with people who work at such organisations, being a platform to call out and put down such anti football reporting is something I hope for.
Pretty much. Just call them out but also ask questions so they actually have to reply. Put them in a corner. Ask them why they believed such strong policing was needed then return with facts that other events have more violence and it's disproportionate.Media Watch for football.

No argument from me.The common enemy is based in Victoria.
The judean peoples front? The common enemy is based in Victoria.
great channel - picked up the stuff with Capital Football (possibly from here?) very early on, around the time I started posting in the thread about it.It's a very good watch imo.
TBF, it has never been anywhere near as big as what it is now. The viewership of the Grand final will tell you that, 1.5-2.million more than the AFL.The NRL think they've got something with their big TV ratings and PNG and Perth expansion but it really is the peak. Their insular media make out their game is way bigger than it really is. I grew up with rugby league and support it but it's nothing but a speck.
That's right. They're championing their peak after all the turmoil. AFL has been in the bin for a while. Ease of access with viewing too.TBF, it has never been anywhere near as big as what it is now. The viewership of the Grand final will tell you that, 1.5-2.million more than the AFL.
I can only speak from my sides point of view, but Easts and Sydney FC have a great relationship, sharing the same stadium. Neither looks at each other as a threat. I would the same with WSWFC and Parramatta, as well as MacArthur and Wests Tigers. Is there less hostility from nrl? Bennet said the enemy isnt other codes but childhood obesity, matty johns has the occasional football reference
Most nrl fans i know think football is soft, but think the same thing about afl (labeling it gayfl, if you pardon me quoting a slur)
The Australian Fumbleball League. The judean peoples front?
At least it’s legitimately-international to an extent - which is something that’ll NEVER be said of AFLThe NRL think they've got something with their big TV ratings and PNG and Perth expansion but it really is the peak. Their insular media make out their game is way bigger than it really is. I grew up with rugby league and support it but it's nothing but a speck.
