ALM/W TV deal

It was smart offering free live stream for I even used it being up the coast casting it on the tv where staying.
NRL also were fortunate it was a cracking bogan game from start to finish.
Surpassing the other egg ball GF with the more funding it has is a good win to Vlandys.

Heard on the radio yesterday Robbie Slater said the ALP wanna decrease the payment from the next TV deal to the FA to %5 instead of the %15 they get now from it. He was saying the FA get all the money from the FA Cup games and the Championship/finals matches leaving the ALM clubs skint on funds for no reward. The FA get money from Paramount for the finals and FA Cup and don't give the clubs anything in return. He suggested a boycott of the finals and FA Cup next season for all ALM clubs until funding is resolved fairly.

I assume that's APL, not ALP... But i don't think its unreasonable for the clubs to want a bigger piece of the pie. Does FA provide any funding or the APL? I don't think so.

Also, with a solid jump in TV ratings last season, you would hope to see an increased TV rights deal as well.

I think clipping the ticket is valid for a Governing body and 5% is useless overall.
10/15% is on the money imo min and max.
They are using FA space nationally that isn't worth peanuts.
How it is, the APL agreed to the deal, they in the first place wanting to break away you have to pay for the privilidge - what they need to do is improve/increase their next broadcast deal plain and simple - if their ratings improved they are better ground to present that for more $$$ and forward projections.

Tells me the image is too big to attach. Thanks anyway, i eventually worked it out.
Yeah I get that error nearly every time. I usually have to copy the image to MS Paint first to get the size down 😅 But I doubt anyone else would be bothered to do that.

The challenge for APL is to determine a way to unite the broader football family.

I have my own ideas, way to big to put into a post ...so will try and write something on it.
Mid, maybe prepare your good insight and post it in Fan View as a thought.

I wonder if the australia cup could secure a tv deal for fa
They already do, they have the rights for the FA Cup and Finals which was sold to Paramount. Don’t know how much it was but part of the deal with the Socceroos and Matilda’s.
