D maybe under the thumb of SWMBO - ironing and other house duties all in the name of equality and harmony - maybe doesn't get out much be easy on him ashtongate.
Ha ha!

Ironing - equates to more football knowledge acquired from Green and G podcasts!

Read the post where I responded to Ashtongate, a wowser, devoid of any fun in his life, (who probably still lives at home with his long suffering Mum and Dad).

I get out a lot. I have a lot to do with younger Millennials, through political pressure groups. Most go out less than me, and, drink a lot less when they do. Often they have a lot of social anxiety too.

I reckon I get out a lot more than you, A.

I'm used to face to face interaction. Do a lot of socialising with the union movement, climate activists, Tas Craft Beer Assoc, plus private parties with friends not involved in these groups.
Good for you.
You don't even know me, so you have no idea how much I am out or in.
So it is a silly thing to say really.

Resorting to personal insults is pretty poor form decentric.
I would have thought a mature person like you would not want the forum to go down that road.

Tongue in cheek!

I am surprised you are so interested in a craft beer thread, A?

Wasn’t it you initially suggesting I need to get out more?

You don’t know me either. Yet you appraised my social life, which I’m sure you did with your tongue in your cheek and the best of intentions.

Tas CBA is fast closing in on 100 members. Not sure how many we have from Green and G?

A few of us meet up today at North Hobart Jazz Festival.

The first will be a pub that serves a lot of craft beers. The second T Bone, with Boodle Beasley(owned by Last Rites) the third venue. All have jazz combos.

Always like T Bone Nitro Stout - ultra heavy, viscous, a denser and more flavoursome version of Guinness.
What was the Jazz festival like in Hobart Decentric?

I've quite always fancied attending the renowned Devonport Jazz Festival...

Brilliant!

I’m a former jazz drummer. A former band mate was playing in one group. I must admit the craft beer was a big attraction though.

There is simply a whiz Gen of musicians under 35 coming through. Attend Hobart Jazz Club once a month too.

Used to attend Hobart Blues Club once a month as well, but they’ve changed venues from The Duke/Devil’s Brewery to the Republic - a dump!

Tas CBA hits 99 members on FB!

One of our top beer reviewers back from holiday too, which adds traffic.

At last we are getting multiple beer reviews!

Yesterday had 4 different reviews to release in the Mod Inbox to appraise for spam - at the same time. A new high! All good reviews with accompanying photos too.

On FB there is a weird mechanism that shows Most Relevant posts. This hides many recent posts. If this mechanism is changed to New Posts, all posts in chronological order are displayed.

We have passed the 100 mark for genuine members too.

I know alcohol has recently been implicated in cancer, but I'm essentially only drinking at social occasions of more than 1 person.

Do many viewing this beside Football Us Life and me, attend live music venues? Usually, they serve alcohol at most music venues.

You'll often find me here at The Walrus Club on Thursday evenings.

A few drinks, some easy going tapas....

They do some very interesting things with rum I have to say.

A real hidden gem of a venue underneath The Regatta Hotel in Brisbane.

Sounds like a great venue!

Yeah....I really like smaller intimate venues for live music. Especially for the weird and wonderful world of jazz clubs. They certainly allow for the interaction with and appreciation of the artists and their music.

The Walrus has that old New York speakeasy vibe. Perfect for jazz....

Geez Louise the Japanese make a good mainstream brew. Just finished a 500ml Kirin from the hotel lobby vending machine. $3.80. (Special shout out to Suntory beer which is hard to find in Australia. Also great.)

Not to mention the craft breweries kicking arse over here. Been to about 4. Just fantastic.

A mate of mine has just posted a few photos drinking Japanese beer on to Tas CBA from her trip to Japan.

Must try Suntory.

I must have had Kirin.

One outstanding Japanese craft beer I've had, over a range of beer styles, is Baird's. Can you remember any of the craft breweries' names, Muz?

The 4 Pines Brewery in Sydney were taken over by Asahi a while back, something that seems to be happening to a lot of craft breweries. Anyway I see they now they do this Japanese style lager. I bought a 6 pack the other day and because it's been quite warm in Brisbane I didn't need much encouragement to get into it....

Have to say that it's a very good drop and I shall be back for more!

Suntory long time old beer tried it years and years ago I'll have to look out for it get a 6pack for a taste reminder.

D I noticed in another thread you mentioned of Mexican lager beers to try if I recall correct.
The best I enjoy is Modelo.
They also have dark choices - have consumed the lager a number of times.
Another good Mex beer is Dos Equis - bought that a number of times as well.
Again available at Dans.
My many trips to Mex I giggle they consider Corona like we do/did re Fosters - crap - they just have been smart Exporting and the lemon became a fad/marketing back in the 80's - sure did work.

I gave Millers CHILL (has dash of Lime) a run for a while for nice and chilled was enjoyable on summer days, went down easy as but kind of got sick of it.

Due to my portugese inlaws/fam they are into
Sagres and Superbock.
Sagres I suppose I'm used to it not bad at all.

I get Kirin and Sapporo here in the old steak n kidney all the time. It's great, especially Sapporo.
