Sign Up Now!Looking back at the history of their kits, they don't seem to have a clear identity when it comes to the home kit. Most clubs will keep their home kit relatively consistent while being a bit more loose with their away kit. Jets on the other hand flip/flop around a bit. They can't seem to decide whether they are a gold/blue club or a blue/red club. https://www.footballkitarchive.com/newcastle-jets-kits/.as far as I'm concerned I see no Jets identity in those kits barring their badge/logo - take the badge it's as if its a new Club.
Same, but historically it's actually 50/50 gold home kits to red/blue home kits. This season puts the gold kit ahead by 1.when I picture Jets its the red/blue dominating colours that relate them to me.
Gold was introduced as the primary colour for season 1 of the A-League. It had never appeared on a Newcastle kit of any kind before that so don’t know why it was chosen, but the reasoning was to be different to the Knights colours.when I picture Jets its the red/blue dominating colours that relate them to me.
Not sure when the tinge of gold was introduced but its a nice small touch originally.
Some Club kits just go too far away what the original was - I mean thats your "colours" right, what we gravitate towards our Clubs.
This is probably controversial for a Jets fan to say but I’m not a fan of the gold. I get it’s to be different to the Knights but it’s such a shit colour on the field and also sucks aesthetically when looking at fans in the crown with gold jerseys and flags etc.Looking back at the history of their kits, they don't seem to have a clear identity when it comes to the home kit. In my head, I kinda associate the navy/red stripes with jets more than the gold, but that is probably because their logo is red/blue.
@Guy Incognito as a Jets fans, do you mainly associate the gold kit or the red/blue stripes as the core main home shirt?
I actually don't mind that. Slick, the kids will love it.Macarthur Bulls 25/26 Home Kit

I don't think that's controversial at all. Every Jets fan I've crossed paths with pretty much says the same thing. This is probably controversial for a Jets fan to say but I’m not a fan of the gold. Barca, Bayern Munich, hell even PSG and Crystal Palace all have good examples of what can be done with red & blue.I don't think that's controversial at all. Every Jets fan I've crossed paths with pretty much says the same thing.
Really all they need to do is look at the Barca kit history and copy any number of good kits. I don't think anyone would care at all that they were copying Barca.
Yep that’s it pretty simple hence why complicate it.Barca, Bayern Munich, hell even PSG and Crystal Palace all have good examples of what can be done with red & blue.
Gold kits are usually winners but checkered gold?
Way too busy with blue sleeves, multi coloured trim and not to mention a collar to boot.
Too much going on.

Mattiske stayed on a year or so after Maverick Sports took over. Tain Drinkwater has been CEO since April.I believe Mattiske has already left the club? Also, different ownership/management now?

Follow the lads on the pitch not the suits. If the team doesn't get any money it'll get western unitededThat's right Kitwally, new owners and new management, I still follow the club, just not willing to give my money and time anymore, did it for 12 years
