Marriage is a civil contract between two consenting adults mate... We live in a secular country.. I don;t think anyone is forcing any church to conduct holy sacrament to people they don't want to... Why does it bother you if two men or two women live together?

As a sort of aside to this point, it certainly makes me laugh at the backpeddling Ive witnessed in the past few years..

An old high school chum, real bloke-ye bloke, staunch Christian values, "queers and poofs are an affront to God" type, turned up to a recent pub catch up. Turns out the bloke has a son with rainbow hair, seventeen pronouns and lives with his husband in a one bedroom lovenest in Inner city. Old mate (the father) couldn't be prouder of his boy, kept showing off pictures of his house and car and even his little chocolate poodle cross something or other puppy.... Spent more time bragging about how his new son-in-law was from the same part of Italy as his family and how good the food was from Puglia... hahahahahah

All I could keep thinking about was old mate in year 11, handcuffing a gay kid in our year level naked in the girls bathrooms at lunchtime with the word faggot written on his forhead in texta...

People change, sometimes for the good, often for the bad. This bloke hated homosexuality with a passion (or at least acted like he did) and has now grown to accept it as a part of his life....

Also, this exchange is so bizarre, it reads like AI and is has so many questions. Some of the language used is not colloquial. Why would he ditch the gun to then want to go back and get it? Why would he be messaging all this and yet they can't pinpoint where he was? Did the towers not pick up the connection? The last part as well, why would he give that advice without any reason for it? He also left a note before when took the shot? From the angle, distance, and weather conditions, needed someone with experience to take that shot. Someone like that doesn't ditch a gun in a bush

Everybody bullied gay kids when I went to school. You got called a faggot if you put gel in your hair let alone being slightly effeminate.

I was just as guilty as every other dickhead. 25 years later I ran into the bloke and his partner in Singapore. We sat down and had beers and dinner with them. He couldn't have been nicer to me and my wife.

After they left I'm not joking when I say I was utterly embarrassed and ashamed of my previous self.
