Croydon (Polonia) win the SA npl final, beating Metro Stars 2-1.
I haven't been very impressed with Metro Stars the last couple of times I have seen them, hope they are up to competing in that Australian championship thingy.

What a finish! Just as MetroStars drew level in the 91st minute and the replay is being shown, Croydon score the winner from the kick-off and the broadcast just cut back as the ball hits the back of the net!
 
The Metrostars didn't deserve a result last night. Very timid in front of goals despite dominating possession for most of the first half. I wonder whether the need to keep players fit for the Australian Championship affected their play, opposed to Croydon who were playing their last fixture of the year.
 
I reckon it's 80% percent Rockdale fans. Also an ambulance just drove on the pitch & took away an Apia player/staff member before the game has even started.
 
West Adelaide defeat Sturt Lions in the SA State League 1 Grand Final 3-2 (aet)

Both teams will play in the NPL next season.

Interesting in SA that the premiers in the top three divisions all lost the final. 3rd placed Croydon bear MetroStars in NPL. 3rd placed West Adelaide beat Sturt in SL1. And 2nd placed Atletico beat Modbury Vista in SL2N. Good to see Marcos Flores winning promotion there.

The build up play and finish for the opening was peach as - what timing on that finish first class.
Never easy against those suns.
