They seem much more likely to complain our players lack physical attributes rather than technical, Waddingham is an exception

Aussiescout has also said that we struggle to convince athletically talented players so we miss out on those elite players that are technically and physically advanced. If you are technical enough tho it can make up for a physical deficit

I would like to think the technical component is more important than physical for us, if anything we always been fine with the latter is just that we judge that more the technical side which is wrong and maybe why we haven’t been on par with the technical side especially in Asia.

I remember Han Berger’s comments when he created the curriculum about trying to get Australia close to the technical level of most Asian nations as he felt we relied a lot on the physical side of things to make up for these deficiencies.

And we know it’s harder to improve technically without the years of practice, maybe it’s down to our lack of football culture which is ingrained from most football counties at a young age?
