4 players are first choice at a high level 2 more - metcalf and volpato regular subs - and a few being standouts at the tier below

it's not golden gen, but it's plenty to get excited about

I'm not sold on botic. I think he's going to face the same problems as McLaren in the fact he just doesn't create enough himself to succeed in Europe.

I actually see Botic's creativity as his main strength

I beg to differ in that he had a lot of varied goals at WU. There are numerous factors such as coach instructions at his new club that he may need to remain central. He's definitely up against it currently and needs to get some scorer points.

Maclaren had a decent Hibs run. His sliding doors moment was a point blank save Kaiserslautern away. Meanwhile Torsten Frings as a hack of a coach wanted him to play as a 10.
