About 20 years ago there was a world game forum
After that collapsed, very roughly there was a league reddit, football anarchy and 442. Very roughly, footbally anarchy hated anything a league and a league reddit tended to be the most likely place where you would hear posts critical of "ethnic clubs". 442 for whatever reason was the place in between
Inside sport took over 442 and its functionality declined a bit so it shrank.
@Pasquali was a white knight who brought the community over here and its been growing.
We wanted to keep the spirit going of a place for all of oz football. The moderating is very light touch and disagreements over things like p and r tend to be allowed regardless of how passionate they get.
Like the original 442 we relaunched a podcast and articles. To keep the spirit alive of a forum for all of australian football, rather than little bubbles, one of our very first pods was with south melbourne mike and pete (since the hosts are brisbane roar and perth glory fans).
We also have old vids of old roos games, detailed coverage of youth teams, live comments on osaussie men and womens games, detailed coverage of npl and a league
It hadnt alwayd been smooth sailing, football anarchy have a thread about plans to troll us, but in the end its been brilliant (thanks
@Pasquali) and the community is slowly growing
