no. Unfortunately, that is one thing that is consistent amongst rumoursSo are we looking at a home and away proper league competition in 2026?
Pathetic. Another year in the toilet.no. Unfortunately, that is one thing that is consistent amongst rumours
Very frustrating. But if it means 8 teams and two cities next year and let's sit on our hands for another decade versus 12-14 teams and a wider geographic spread I know what I would pick.Pathetic. Another year in the toilet.
Why do we struggle? Do we just breed incompetent people in soccer? Or greedy and selfish pricks? Why can't anything get done around here?
I believe the contract is for 2 yearsIf it was going ahead next year we would have known months ago.
I''d expect the end of year version to be a one off.
Why the hell couldn't they tell the fans that from the start?I believe the contract is for 2 years
Fear remains that it may be the prevailing idea that its only a one off overall....If it was going ahead next year we would have known months ago.

How atleast one team from queensland cant meet the criteria remains dumbfounding.. same with SA to get us to 10... then just start with any 2 more that come closest to meeting the criteria (legitimately close though not wishful thinking close) and 2 more the year later. ... since when did it have be more compliacted than that FFS?Very frustrating. Because if we go with 8 teams we will stay at 8 teams for the foreseeable future.
TBH I think we need to also establish a semi-pro league (conference style) at the same time and have a time table for clubs below to be able to win promotion.
just need to ask the clubs "what criteria can you meet"?How atleast one team from queensland cant meet the criteria remains dumbfounding.. same with SA to get us to 10... then just start with any 2 more that come closest to meeting the criteria (legitimately close though not wishful thinking close) and 2 more the year later. ... since when did it have be more compliacted than that FFS?
Thats my point also.. ask the clubs openly though and not in secrecy..... that way if the club boards cant meet the criteria, the option is there for their fanbases to find a sponsors and a solution if possible.just need to ask the clubs "what criteria can you meet"?
South Hobart, even. How could they be told that they don't meet the financials? What else is there to pay for? Flights and accommodation are taken care of by FA. Players and staff are meant to be full-time professional, but I thought Galatas said even that isn't the case. So what other financials?? This is the same South Hobart that was in charge of the former "cashed-up A-League bid" that was gazumped by the Foxtel clubs. How atleast one team from queensland cant meet the criteria remains dumbfounding.. same with SA to get us to 10... then just start with any 2 more that come closest to meeting the criteria (legitimately close though not wishful thinking close) and 2 more the year later. ... since when did it have be more compliacted than that FFS?

When I wrote that I said that was the last I heard. I am retired now and don't have the same sources that I once had. South Hobart may well pass now - they had already passed the technical constraints. The FA probably didn't look at the financial constraints if a club couldn't pass the technical constraints.South Hobart, even. How could they be told that they don't meet the financials?
