Australian transfers 25-26 Winter

I didn't realise it was a permanent move touted for Irankunda. That gives me more hope because thats some commitment from Watford, though still fear how he'll fare with the leap in standard from Switzerland.

Maybe if people ignore it, it will go away.

How much of the fee would United be entitled to? I wonder what the on sell clause was when he went to Bayern.

2.5m pound bid is ridiculous. But not a bad move would be good to see him up against other aussies. Buy back clause apparently so they must see something.

Better league and bigger club compared to Grasshoppers. If he gets a lot of sub appearances that would be my most optimistic take; if he has addressed the holes in his game. My head says he will end up on loan second half of the season after a few sub appearances and not playing for the first half. Based on the end of the last season in Switzerland. Hopefully it is the former.
I think you are underestimating him. I expect him to end the season a starting 11 player.

Also however means that Bayern don’t see him as a long term Bundesliga prospect…

Yeah as I said I hope I'm wrong. I haven't watched him in Switzerland. But he went from sometimes starter at Adelaide, began by starting at Grasshoppers, seemed to end the season as a sometimes starter. Wanting him to take a step forward, championship club with promotion ambition might be a bit much.

4mil Euro for an average Championship club is quite significant really with today's PSR rules.

I imagine Watford's intention is that he is a key player. Up to Nestory to realise it.

So Nestor was a bench player in his first two seasons but then started most games in his final season. He played a crazy amount of minutes and games for someone who left as soon as he turned 18

My biggest concern with Nestor is that his game continues to go further into his shell eg he almost never uses that rocket of a right foot anymore, more likely to win a pen than to test the keeper etc

I honestly think a big part of his development now will fall on the coaches and leaders around him - hoping that both their style and belief in him creates an environment that allows him to express his talent to its fullest potential.

Watford asking for a permanent deal and I think Bayern could be tempted. Bayern are a very impatient club and don't develop many players.

Once again our young players go to big clubs and they really are just a number. Irankunda has been treated well by Bayern but the truth is they got him as an experiment with no downside risk.

Imagine our players going to mid level clubs. They've invested money and would hope for a big transfer in a few years. These upward moves are the better way instead of the football farm hoarders.

to be fair not much downside for him either
got 20 games in the swiss league at a young age is pretty decent

No, it just shows Cavallo wasn't really of the grade.
He was previously but injuries and being frozen out have had a huge impact.

Wouldn’t be surprised at all if he is at a national league club within the next 12 months
