NPL 2025

A

Try arguing the point on the technicality....given the ground is a place of worship and out team a religion..... or are you unhappy with sacrificing the other eye also?
Remember that dude at OV who rocked up with his little bride in tow just before kickoff, took pictures with the team and drove off into the sunset... NPL is wild....

i cant believe the Waratah Cup final is going ahead tonight in this weather
Aren't there already a lot of teams needing catch up games? A problem with winter weather and grounds having too much play on them. Just need more grounds in reality, though won't live to see it.

they sure are but can't believe it as I'm typing the damn sun is breaking through and seeing patchs of blue sky.
In saying that it sure isn't nice getting out there tonight but I wait and see how it looks around 6pm.

2 of the 3 NPL Northern NSW midweek catch up fixtures were scheduled for tonight are off which were as follows,

Round 6:
Weston Bears v Lambton Jaffas

Round 11:
New Lambton v Adamstown Rosebud

unknown atm,

Round 9:
Maitland v Broadmeadow Magic

FNSW are a joke

So more on this, and i hope FNSW see this post, but they dont care.

Below is an email received by FNSW 2 hours prior to Kick Off.

Because of the large crowd numbers they banned all umbrellas from entering the ground and made fans stand in the rain due to limited undercover seating. Here is a tip, don't host a final at a shitty venue if you cant cater for the people, especially knowing one of the clubs involved can bring a crowd.

On top of this, they had 25+ security guards and police, which was way over the top for a midweek game in pouring rain, at valentine sports. Even one of the security guards said he was surprised at how many security guards were called for the match.

FNSW you do nothing to help the game, all you do is take the $100k application fee from each club at the start of the year then give back to the people with this rubbish.

You wonder why the game cant grow here and people choose to stay away, its because of these incompetent federations running our game.

Nice win mate, I watched most of the second half.... You should have put it to bed early, but they never looked like scoring... could have played another 3 hours and the score would have remanded the same... Weather looked terrible

Considering SU's season climbing back up the league ladder this shows the courage the club has and throw in the so so many against them (fellow football supporters in other States) driven by the media over the years........
Happy for Beretta and all behind SU for it is one of the Bastions of our game forever and a day.
They are a giant (big club) in my eyes.
I unfortunately had other pressing comittments with the boss but had the game on the mobile so I could glance away.
Win win good stuff, got to say even though Tigers weren't a major threat kudos on them making the final for like Spirit they came from NPL2 grounding and are a well run small club from the Nth burbs up the road from Spirit so the area is producing/developing players.

That is good to see/hear. Nothing breeds success like investment at the grass roots of the game.

thanks mate noticing for its a/pyramid I dream despite the forever ongoing hurdles/resistance about it all.
For those out of state my ethnic parents settled in the northern syd burbs unlike the rest of fam settling south.
Nth burbs back in my young days our fam were one of the low ethnic % for it was full on anglo but football always had many clubs and a late comer to NPL let alone NSL which was Northern Spirit !
Even though we followed APIA and SU mind you due to our mixed blood of both the current Spirit is the carry on of the previous NSL Spirit so I have interest having gone to most NSL Spirit games with Poppa.
They are very well run and have worked hard finally making it in NPL currently And Tigers a late comer another good promising club having bought the Balmain TigersFC Div 1 license back in 02.
They have earnt promotion 3/4times now currently in NPL1 just under the APIA/SU's etcetc - I have watched players develop there as well last 15odd yrs.
Both clubs have syn pitch's x 2, healthy Womens Rep levels as well.
Councils have co invested with the clubs having pretty good facilites especially Spirit so yer good news storey Hillybilly55.

The sad storey talking this side of town was the destruction of Northbridgefc having worked their up to top flight NPL agreeing to the Bulls take their license and walk into NPL in turn thankyou very much idiots discarded all the locals who worked their arse's gaining promotion over so many years :( !
Only in oztralia
