I think that cast a slur on the journalist and given he has written articles on South Melbourne over the years are you also suggesting your club paid him.it certainly reads that way ... Im not condemning it btw ... Preston are ell within their remit to seek published content promoting their club...
??? Why would somebody who writes articles for a living see getting paid to right an article as a slur?? You really do confuse me sometimes Mid... I very much doubt that my club has paid for someone to write on article as something as niche as the Roar but I wouldn't begrudge them if they did... Its content and advertising copy after all... I dont begrudge Preston trying to generate some publicity from a large crowd... Im struggling to see your problem here?I think that cast a slur on the journalist and given he has written articles on South Melbourne over the years are you also suggesting your club paid him.
If anything he has been a hugely critical of Melbourne City over recent years and has often written aleague club selections.
Like all the "influencers" who have a sudden interest in npl and are totally not making rage/click bait videos for engagementTbf Tuckerman just seems like someone trying to get some buzz off of the game, I hope I'm wrong and I hope he has genuine interests for the member federation clubs but he just seems like a bit of a grifter.
Harry Sundai?"influencers" and fans alike, I remember when we shit hot at the beginning of the NPL there was the older fella who used play these little crappy drums every game (super annoying) as soon as we became somewhat crap what did he do? Jumped to victory haha, probably about a decade to late.
Thats not entirely fair on ol Harry.. He was at every game with his Peter Kriss drum solos (super load and annoying) but got a lot of stick from the CC guys and other fans for his overzealous brand of fan participation and stopped coming altogether ...."influencers" and fans alike, I remember when we shit hot at the beginning of the NPL there was the older fella who used play these little crappy drums every game (super annoying) as soon as we became somewhat crap what did he do? I thought he had a falling out with the club?Thats not entirely fair on ol Harry.. He was at every game with his Peter Kriss drum solos (super load and annoying) but got a lot of stick from the CC guys and other fans for his overzealous brand of fan participation and stopped coming altogether ....
Yeah I had told him to stfu a few timesI thought he had a falling out with the club?
Personally i found him annoying, he would pound those drums like a mad man lol. When you're drowning out the chants its a problem.
He still goes to local games, was at heidelberg v preston the other week.
Man this guys was LOUD ... Full on setup, he would pound those skins like at the end of the movie Stepbrothers... lolyer got to say - drums, don't mind when at high moments/scoring etc but when it overdone and continous piss's you off.
Vuvelas (sp check) over used as well.

I saw most of the match. That blonde kid for Adelaide, Burkitt, had some nice touches. He might be another one coming through in the coming seasons. Tatu had a quiet one.Adelaide United v FK Beograd had up to 1.8k viewers at peak on YouTube—many gamblers from overseas but who cares. Their money is green and it brings investors to the local game. Crowd was good too.
Maybe 3,000?Knights v preston looks huge
yeah probably 1500-2000 on the side the camera is pointed, hard to say whats there on the other sideMaybe 3,000?
Pretty sure the other side was closed, say maybe 2,000 insteadyeah probably 1500-2000 on the side the camera is pointed, hard to say whats there on the other side
to be fair, its 20 years of built up cynicism from people who join traditional clubs. It makes sense that when someone covers them they would assume an agenda. Thanks for covering it!Must say I enjoyed the discussion around who was paying me to write nice things about the NPL.
In almost 20 years of writing about football, here's how many clubs have honestly asked me to write something positive about them.
Zero.
I approached Preston long before the Round 5 fixture against South Melbourne because I recognised the significance of the game.
It was the sort of thing any proactive journalist could do. That there's practically nowhere to publish these stories is by far the bigger issue.
