But the stressing of scalable production also makes me wonder how many productions will be substantial.

I think it will be an improvement on the current YouTube production.

It feels a bit like the FA aren't resting on their hands. They're doing what they can for what they're responsible for. Also, if in the future the AL's finds its way back with the FA then a lot of ground work will have been done on a better broadcasting set-up - in terms of getting the product accessible for people. I'm interested in watching the NPL clubs.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Stephen Conroy appointed CEO of APL whilst remaining chair of FA?
Given that the APL would have a broadcast contract in place, why would the FA interfere with legal obligations?

any decent leading body/FA etc that does their job properly never rest on their hands, trouble is we've had 2 that never cared for the whole of football 2nd level to grassroots.
Thats their job period, thank christ there is someone who does see right down the bottom and knows a healthy and synced eco system is the light at the end of the long tunnel and what they are RESPONSIBLE for.
Nothing lasts and is short term when only the board and high management ie AL is the only vision, without the roots and foundations the top struggle to survive pretty obvious.

I’ve seen some of the NSW NPL matches this season via YouTube I don’t think the quality has been the best, if they improve the quality of broadcasting especially with the NPL Championship those 1 percenters make a big difference to the viewer.

Yeah quite possibly .... depends on what the production looks like ... anything would be better than the single camera youtube broadcasts currently.
 
So basically it will be the single camera at the ground still however it will upload to a centralised studio who will do the production ( replays, graphics, branding, advertising ). It's basically NPL.TV except slicker I imagine.

They talk about multi-camera though?? And automated highlights which we down south at least ahve been missing .. its not Optus sports mate but could be better than what we have at the moment?

Hope so. Broadcasting is an expensive business. Seen those OB trucks out the front of grounds? The gear in that ensure a certain "slickness" of production.

I will take the NPL commentators over any A League one however. If the FA are going through with this could be some good opportunities for those guys.

mate I follow NPL around ... only trucks I see parked outside the ground have Halal meat supplies and Spiros' Concreting written on the side. lol
