I am an 8 letter word with kst in the middle, in the beginning and at the end. What am I?
 
An original from me:

Its landscape's a long valley but it's formed by just one hill
And it does not serve a purpose when it's only lying still
And the rubble at the bottom can be rock or other things
Press a needle to its face and when it comes around it sings

What is it?

I only know the last line but would that be a vinyl record?

Spot on - the groove (valley) is formed as one continuous line so the 'hill' is also one continuous hill. The rubble at the bottom are the 'bumps' that create the sounds and it is 'rock or other' because that is the music type.

I thought the last line gave it away when I wrote it - just a little too literal. But no point in a riddle that can't be guessed.

2008 a bit early for him. Need 2 names.

Hints: One had many caps but was somewhat in the shadow of the generation before him. The other played 350 A League games but never in Europe.

One of the Zelic's (Ned or Ivan)?

I saw this was unanswered and don't want to cheat to find out.

Pretty sure the Zelic's were Canberran and round that time.

Ah - I sort of remembered Zelic from around that time but I see that is when he retired.

Zelic, Rogic and Valeri are the only Canberra names I remember so I will try Valeri then as the one in the shadows of the GG. I thought he played same time as Zelic though.

I suspect you will have to tell us or give us some obvious clues.

350 games in the aleague it's ridiculous I can't think of players let alone a Canberran. I can only think of Broxham and the great Matt McKay but neither of them would be from the ACT. Terrible at history.
