Football books

I’ve posted this in general Bookreading thread.

I’m happy to send Mr Cleansheets the paperback book to anyone wanting to read it. It seems too valuable to trade in at a secondhand bookshop.

It is fiction, but there is a football component in it. The English FA Cup means all clubs participate.

As long as postage isn’t too much. If you are paranoid about anonymity, I can send it to your street address with your G and G user name, such as Lupi.

I thought Mr C was an entertaining and funny book. Highly recommended.

Read some Brian Clough books.

The greatest is Duncan Hamilton's. Hilarious too!

Clough and his mate, the talent scout, Peter Taylor, as his assistant, turned every club around!

Agreed, brilliant book.

I just finished reading John McGovern's autobiography which was good - with a foreword by the late great Kevin Keegan.

I was fortunate to meet John while in the UK last December and found him to be a wonderful genuine person. Sometimes it is good to meet your heroes.

Have finished reading Mr Cleansheets.I enjoyed it and the story of the Conference club making the final of the FA Cup while improbable wss plausible.I did laugh at the skewering of that Rugby boof head Fitzsimons in his thinly disguised appearance as Greg Beaumont.
