Now we just need big Harry to somehow get the hell out of Leicester!

It's more Leicester holding on to him. I've heard they were trying to add conditions on a few deals for sales of their players and scared the buyer off.

Souttar's injury history and an Asian Cup absence might have put clubs off. I noticed most ended signing another defender at a decent price.

Leicester have panicked and mismanaged things and don't want to cut their losses on an expensive Souttar just yet. Hopefully he'll be out in winter.

Surely 3. liga is below Dylan. That reeks, sorry.

I fully acknowledge that 3. Liga is probably of a higher standard than the A-league but still it sucks.

This also gets to a broader point, the Bundesliga stinks for young Australian players. They always get farmed out to oblivion.

Yes and no. I suggest you look at the clubs in the 3rd tier. Most a traditional ones that lost their way a decade a go and are now stabilised and rising again. It's a great place to play every week for his age. The players in Germany who got stuffed around were mostly put in the 4th tier and or reserve sides which is markedly worse and something of a training league.

The 3rd tier is highly competitive but I still think the bulk of the A League is better. This issue is the A League has fewer games and loses its intensity once the placings are clear.

I think the issue is being sucked in by the promise of big clubs and then getting farmed out. I think more young A League players should go to the 3rd tier, impress and then get bought by the next level up or then move to a good side in a 2nd tier European top divison.

There are a few examples of players dropping leagues on loan for regular game time. Leonard to Alemannia, Matthews to Bradford and Borges-Rodrigues to Burton Albion. Assuming they play, I think getting games is preferrable than getting wedged between the first and second teams. I'm happy for those moves provided they don't end up like Kuols early loans.

The interesting thing about Kuol was he went to two anti football clubs. He got played out of position and it was Scotland while Volendaam were holding on for dear life. He had a successful run at the latter when they played him correctly.

RBR needs this season again to keep honing his skills. This is way better than waiting until October to play A League and get the occasional cameo. What if the A League club they're at is poor? Minimal minutes available to a poor system. At least these European loans offer an abundance of competitive minutes.
