Netflix only has the broadcast rights for the Women's World Cup over the course of the next two cycles in the United States so it doesn't affect the Matildas altogether.

They would but Matildas games are also on live TV. That’s the concern, in America it’s (as it stands) exclusive to Netflix. Some friendlies are only on Paramount but tournament games are always on live TV cause they’re on the anti-siphoning list.

The only reason why Netflix can get the broadcast rights for the next two Women's World Cup cycles in the United States including a major tournament on home soil for them is because there is no anti-siphoning list which prevents them from doing so.
