From memory he was red hot for a while and then got injured? After the injury he hasn’t been able to recapture his previous form?
He was lighting the A-league up for the first third of last season with some awesome goals for Newcastle, suffered a long term injury and I don’t think has been back since. Big loss, he was the best player out of that whole team.

Back in training now for jetties preseason. If he can recapture his form before the injury he won’t be here long

📋 Here is how the CommBank #YoungSocceroos line up against Laos to begin their #AFCU20 Asian Cup China 2027™ Qualifying campaign. 💪

That pitch looks not great to play on, but to credit to the boys for sticking their style.
Looks more relational than the usual structured style we normally play at senior level too.

06's (Irankunda) aren't eligible. 07 and onwards. It's insane that Herrington has progressed past this level so quick but it's not that crazy to think about Overy playing at this level.
James Overy could still reach the same development trajectory as Lucas Herrington if he manages to get consistent game time at club level and continues making progress within the Socceroos farm system though.

It's Myanmar, not Laos who have made some inroads over the past decade or so. Laos are really poor (financially). For scale Myanmar beat Laos 7:2 in a men's game recently. I wish we could play these nations in preliminary qualifying. More a formality but we need to get the full AFC set.

Bit like the stone the Wallabies played Argentina on over the weekend.

De Lima has to do better there. Despite bobbling ball it's an open goal.
