Yet why was he called Okon Jr at Sydney? The Engstler part only started coming along later and plenty of media and fans had referred to him as just Okon. His dad's name made it a pretty easy follow on for anyone in the game.
 
It's crazy that the selection of both Beach and Okon-Engstler against Turkey is essentially a major reason for them both playing in top 5 leagues now.

Of course their performances in those games mattered most, but it's just a crazy domino effect from that moment.
 
Okon off the pace for the goal there. Too slow to press. Had to commit to one player who was then able to pass for the shooter. Not standing tall and losing his balance unable to shuffle across. Keeper needs to do better too.

Both had the game of their lives and I don't think it masks any massive underlying inefficiency. Both need to remain grounded and not get complacent as they've gotten caught out since the Turkey game.

I listed to the Simon Hill radio call today actually and it was described so well and in so glad the team won that.
 
Looks like Robertson gave away a pen and got a yellow on 4min. Cardiff scored in opening minute and they're 2:1 down already.
