How do you feel about SMFC Mike’s consistent belittling of the A League? I mean, I can’t say I’m not unsupportive of his views, but boy oh boy, it can be self-defeating IMO. Is it somewhat performative? His interviews feel a lot less antagonistic.

Of course, he does reveal some interesting information at times.

Yep spot on. I think he's been great on the pod (and Pete), very knowledgeable and apt discussions. The Aus Cup preview was top notch.

X seems like a way to express all the frustrations. It's a shame that all we see is dumping crap on A-League. I crap on it as well sometimes 😅 but I also see the obvious good in the league too. When it's only one-eyed vitriol coming out then the credibility of the rants vaporises and it loses meaning, I can't remember a positive thing that's been said about A-League. Yeah "performative" would be accurate. Other posts are very often informative and I enjoy, I repost them here quite a bit.

Victoria yet again the leading the field. Good to see a bunch of Darwin clubs make the list! Queensland nearly catching NSW. A-League youth teams rate really well, especially the Roar rating third in QLD despite the spoon, and the Reds #1 in SA! When will WA shift to YouTube??
