Aussies abroad šŸŒšŸ¦˜

We dont know how much irankunda plays this year, hopefully a lot bu Im cautious about popping the champaign until he does

Irankunda is a u21, and if he plays regularly it is similar to emerton at feyenoord, but a year younger

Kewell was u20, a year younger than irankunda, when he played regularly for the 5th best epl team. At u20 irankunda got just 4 goals in a full season in the championship

Im hoping irankunda and volpato end up as slight upgrades on emerton and bresc. Hopefully we get a superstar of kewells calibre come from somewhere
Australia has only ever produced 1 Harry Kewell ever.

Another potential superstar in Lucas ruined he might get the odd cup game but he'll probably not play for ages then pick up silly injury then out for ages. Should of went to a big tier 2 club Ajax/Brugge/Lyon etc
We're going to have some good case studies with these Portugal moves. Circati should be fine. I'm just not sure how forever they are with error. Irankunda may not be given the patience if he doesn't turn it on. There's also the risk of injury. It's always there but I feel some moves tempt fate.

For me the forgotten player of Australian football who was at a time, world class or borderline world class was Tony Dorigo, who actually still to this day calls himself Australian.

Was named in PL POTS, won player of the season at Aston, Chelsea, Leeds and Torino. Played in a world cup 3rd place playoff and had it nkt been for Stuart Pearce who was the best or 2nd best left back in world football at the time, would have played 60 + caps for England.

Anytime i see a former leeds player pick their best 11 hes always in it.

Id also argue that Cahill, Bosnich and Viduka for brief points were also considered world class.

2:0 Hull and its cruel both goals are from centre backs. Herrington isn't getting in any time soon. Maybe he can be loaned to Manchester United who get just desserts for persisting with the same past it or overrated crap. Dorgu is also garbage and simply gets fast tracked. There's always one.

A lot of our young players get stuck by saying they'll fight for their spot whole not realising the team is established and the chances are low. Herrington is a bit wedged but probably next in line. One injury or suspension and he's in.

The players he is competing with look weaker than burgess and holding which he replaced for club and country, so not panicked yet. But gee i hope he gets game time soon

All great players, Bozza was a GK.
Dorigo was a defender, Cahill was great in the air was a great goalscorer.
Ball at feet able to create magic, we never touched Vidula and Kewell.

Kewell was electrifying, could beat beat players with skill and speed, had a killer left foot.
As a footballer ala Mess or Ronaldo. no one comes close to Kewell in Australia.

Early days, I’m sure he will get opportunities over time but I wonder if he should have got a move to a team where he would get guaranteed game time given he’s only 18.

But early days nevertheless.

McGree bench, Adamson starting. Robertson starting.

Watts bench. Jones starting. No Silvera. Souttar starting and captain.

AMB starting. Majekodunmi bench. Pearann starts.

No game for Ingostadt as they're not in the German Cup but they do have a friendly. Kƶln in Cup Monday.

Gee fellas, it’s half time in the first game of the season. No need to be doomsayers yet.
It can change quickly in both directions; however, having two centre backs score and be so solid tips the momentum a bit more. Injuries and suspensions will come.

Good news is Adamson gets the start. Maj benched after one week but Pearman in shows mixed fortunes. Souttar still at that shithole.
