We’ve got day jobs. Can’t be skipping work every week to travel interstate to play games. What about night matches every day of the week? A festival of football each night on SBS. Midweek flights would keep costs down too.
Appreciate the update. The meeting with the FA yesterday was all boring admin stuff. Biggest thing or change which is still currently being negotiated with SBS is one Thursday night game. No more 1pm K.O on Saturday.
Season launch late September.
Still nothing on groups, draw etc.
I feel a 90s advertising slogan coming...To "tournamenty" for my liking....
No more Saturday 1pm doesnt mean we wont get Sunday 1pm lol.
We will probably get one of Preston, Avondale or Oakleigh.I am hoping that South is drawn against some decent teams that we have not played for a very long time.
I'm hoping for teams like APIA Leichardt, Adelaide City or Sydney United.
Yes, yes and yes please.I am hoping that South is drawn against some decent teams that we have not played for a very long time.

Sydney United vs APIA Leichhardt is the true eternal derby and you will enjoy it!!!i hope they look at last season's groups and change it up, there will be nothing worse if the same clubs are drawn against each other again.
FFS if we get APIA again, it could be up to 7 times playing them this season.
It's like Real v Barca. Happens more often than the sun rises and sets.Sydney United vs APIA Leichhardt is the true eternal derby and you will enjoy it!!!![]()
yep recycle and repeat as they say today BUT it still keeps givingIt's like Real v Barca. Happens more often than the sun rises and sets.
On the field yes, off the field is a different matter. Still think Marconi is bigger club than APIA off field personally, but that’s just me. See Melbourne knights, big club off the field, underachieving on field.yep recycle and repeat as they say today BUT it still keeps giving
I think with all due respect to Glenardo both these Clubs stand over Marconi in the modern times.

Marginal improvement. 3 is still early but acceptableThursday night 7.30pm (1 fixture)
Friday nights 7.30pm (2 fixtures)
Saturday 3pm (3 fixtures)
Sunday 3pm (2 fixtures)
*subject to change with SBS
I don't mind this at all.Thursday night 7.30pm (1 fixture)
Friday nights 7.30pm (2 fixtures)
Saturday 3pm (3 fixtures)
Sunday 3pm (2 fixtures)

For all the worry about what FA plan to do with the Championship (given their mended relationship with the APL), I see the above as positive signs they're committed to making it financially successful. Clearly the ratings from last season were positive enough that SBS want to utilise prime-time slots for games (Thursday and Friday nights). From memory, wasn't it just the two Saturday games that were broadcast last year?Thursday night 7.30pm (1 fixture)
Friday nights 7.30pm (2 fixtures)
Saturday 3pm (3 fixtures)
Sunday 3pm (2 fixtures)

I'm not from Sydney, and I would say that's the consensus for the Italian community outside of Sydney. Well.. I am not sure if bias because Griffith seems to have a few more links to Marconi that probably causes that consensus. On the field yes, off the field is a different matter. Still think Marconi is bigger club than APIA off field personally, but that’s just me. See Melbourne knights, big club off the field, underachieving on field.
To be clear I respect and value all the traditional clubs inc APIA and Sydney united . I probably attend more games at both clubs than some people who count themselves as fans.
