Sign Up Now!$15 million will change APL's attitude. South does not have $15 million. We all know the licences are not worth that. Hence nothing will come of it.My read was that bill sounded pessimistic about the meeting with apl
Id be surprised if they couldnt raise 15mil considering they raised 16mil last expansion and are a bigger entity now$15 million will change APL's attitude. South does not have $15 million. We all know the licences are not worth that. Hence nothing will come of it.
I honestly dont think there is another bite at this...casually waiting for the APL to reject us so we can move on and do this again in 5 years time
If thats all it was they can muster the $15mill, its not, im sure the APL agenda hasnt changed, let alon3 the other local franchise owners (the scum espwcially). And real questuon is why would u when its not worth anywhere near that currently and hasbt been in such a long time... if the AL is an $195 million league and ot needs bail outs from FA with all running at losses what incentive do they provide?$15 million will change APL's attitude. Id like to give it but perhaps its safer for all if I dontMore what he didnt say when summarizing his meeting with the apl and his tone of voice. Its pretty short about 20min in
Be curious about others opinion of his interview
You are assuming that this is a bid.... I see no evidence of APL calling for expressions of interest or announcing any planned expansion.I honestly dont think there is another bite at this...

Tge want for top tier football is great and all but i dont to buy 15 million of debts in a league that will fold anyway and then be blaned on letting us in as the reason for it folding ( you all know that point will be first one raised).. i for one would be more than happy if we kill it off from the inside and stem into a minimum 2 tier system but not pay for that priveledge!
We are loooong all out of optimism and for good reason...
Where in sweet AI generated Geoguesser is this?
Nice pic though.
If that occurs, South would need to get through Preston, Oakleigh, and Avondale/Hume to win the league. That's a massive ask.The way the npl ladder looks atm its going to be South v Preston in the elimination final at either lakeside or bt connor...only a substantial points deduction to Preston would change that course, as it stands its gonna be 2 big shows within about 10 days.
Gotta beat the best to be the best, let the chips fall where they may now...If that occurs, South would need to get through Preston, Oakleigh, and Avondale/Hume to win the league. That's a massive ask.
We need Altona Magic to do us a massive favour on Saturday, and hold Avondale to a draw at least in order to get us to third and avoid Preston (assuming they finish 4th or 5th) and Oakleigh until the grand final.
Don't park your car at OV, BT Connor or Somers St... hahahahaha
Yeah it would be hard for the Heidelberg people to get up for this game considering their form and the fact that they are losing their coach in 2 more matches... Their season is done, they shot for the moon last year and now have come crashing back to their normal level a lower top 6 side.Never seen a Hellas v Heidelberg derby that has had such little interest in a long time. Everyone is looking forward to next week's semi final against Preston.
That is what concerns me the most - it is the risk of one of our players being injured and missing the Australia Cup quarterfinal. Its not an ideal matchup for us because they can be physical encounters and thats not what we need on Sunday.
Agree.. key players need to be rested here.. wed is all the money...we will atleast know result of altona game to see if we need to play stronger or lighterThere is no point in trying to work out what a starting line up against Heidelberg might be.
There are so many factors at play that we could see a full strength team, U20s/23s combined team, or a full strength side in the first half and then the 5 substitutions early in the second half.
If Sinisa was thinking of resting players, then Retre and Pasquali would need to be rested. Especially Pasquali as he has not stopped running since the end of the OFC Pro League.
If Altona pulls off a miracle and takes points off Avondale, then we have to go out and get the 3 points against Heidelberg. Then we can we can start taking players off during the second half.
