Alexander Garbowski (BK Häcken) will also be unavailable due to injury.

Emile Katrib (Western Sydney Wanderers FC), Oliver Dragicevic (Melbourne Victory FC), Michael Ghossaini (Melbourne Victory FC) and Feyzo Kasumovic (Adelaide United) have subsequently been called into Trevor Morgan’s 23-player squad"

Echoes of the infamous Foster-Postecoglou clash on SBS in November 2006. Foster's ire was sparked by the failure of the Young Socceroos and the Joeys to qualify for their respective U20 and U17 World Cups. The U20s lost to China and the Joeys were held to a draw by Laos, who are the Young Socceroos' first opponent on 31/8/26 in Vientiane. Gulp!!
 
If the collective forum memory needs jogging, Australia are reigning U20 Asian Champions (China 2025). That squad had arguably the best performance (undefeated) of all our national mens' teams in Asia since we joined the AFC in 2006.

The draw was v Saudis in the final 1-1 a.e.t.. Aussies won 5-4 in pen shoot out. All 5 scored: Jovanovic, Badolato (panenka!!), Pearman, Yull and Kikianis. The Saudi pen takers (walking back) deliberately bumping or hassling our penalty takers as they walked to the spot, so Badolato's panenka was an awesome GFY
Badolato named MVP of the tournament
Our goal scorers: Jovanovic 3, Musa Toure 3, Bennie 2, Badolato 2, Agosti 2, and one each to Bosnjak, Memeti, Kikianis and Pearman.
Also in the squad were Steven Hall, Okon-Engstler, Quintal, and Herrington at age 17.
Despite Hall and Herrington we only kept 1 clean sheet out of 6 matches: the 2-0 win over Japan in the semi-final.

Herrington barely played in that tournament - Kikianis and Esposito preferred
 
Do Herrington and Irankunda even enter the equation for the Olyroos or are they above that? Getting to the Olmypics is needed.
