There are no easy games in the NRL and I expect Souths to come out with a lot more intersity against us.

After the Warriors game, teams are wary of our starts and know that they need to match us early.

I don't think they can produce 80 mins of intense defence like the Chooks.

Souths are the best at taking opportunities, the key to winning is limit their opportunities.

With Ward and Humpreys out, Cody is probably doing most of the long kicking. DCE and Walker had a great kicking combo for the Chooks. I'm unsure about the credentials of whoever is partnering Cody in the halves.

If we need to, we can use a few long kicks from Burto. But if the game goes to plan we should dominate field position and posession.

Our execution against the Warriors was better against some intense defence, we were more dialled in that game and grabed some early momentum.

Obviously errors from us can win it for Souths, we need to execute, be patient and go set for set with the ball in play.

If we can't beat Souths, we are probably better off missing the semis.

I will be surprised if they win many games at the business end.

But if Latrell comes back, it might be different

The biggest blunder in the Chooks game was the ref not binning Walker for the deliberate 6-again in a try scoring situation.

They should tweak the rule, the ref should call "6-again advantage" if the attacking team scores in the next play nothing happens.

If not, the ref awards a penalty, and the player goes to the bin for 5 minutes.

It has to be blatant and when tackling a player who has made a line break.

Many fans are blaming Tracey for the last Chooks try.

I am not sure that Walker intended to kick there, he just saw Tracey covering where he intended to kick and kicked in field instead.

I am not sure that the Chooks kick chaser was on side, i don't know if they checked that.

Edit: Rsdley may have been offside and inside the 10, reffing that rule is inconsistent.

The ball happened to split Tracey, Kiraz and Galvin perfectly, both Tracey and Kiraz are not overly fast in this situation.

The ball was more Kiraz's responsibility, but Kiraz was gassed.

IMO what should have happened is, Galvin should have run back towards the ball. Going backwards, Galvin could afford to dive, going forwards, Tracey was likely to knock on, and perhaps deflect the ball to a Chook.

If Galvin tried what I suggested, I think we probably fluke defending the try.

The luck simply wasn''t with us.

I do remember the luck and the refs calls going with us one game this year.

If all teams get the same amount of luck, we have a lot of luck in the bank.

I think at the lesson for our guys is, keep your eye on the ball, run towards the ball and call if you think you can get there.

We have a number of young Fijian players contracted to the Bulldogs in the Silktails side,

Some of these guys should filter into our lower grade sides over the next few years.

We have some good young players in the lower grades, in particular in flegg.

Clubs will try to poach them, but hopefully we keep enough of the best players.

Gus is looking at the big picture, we want to develop young players, but we also need NRL ready players as backups.

IMO we know what went wrong this year, making the semis will be a great result and if we make it we should win a game or 2.

If we do make the semis, I hope that we get another crack at the Roosters. I don't fear them.

I only fear the Warriors in NZ if they do a Haka before the game.

If we do need to play the Warriors, I would rather play them in the GF.

I hope that the sequence of semis for us is Souths, Sharks, Roosters.

Yes, I would love to end the season for Souths, Sharks and Roosters. Anything that happens after that is a bonus.

If we made the GF I would definately buy a tee-shirt which lists our semi wins ;)

It will be 2014 all over again then again might be 1995 the Terry lamb team coming from six position.
Last week might've been the loss we needed hopefully the guys can go now 4 in a row .

I'm really hoping for a great run this year.

I think we can do it, and if it happens, it will be extremely enjoyable.

We should have learned a couple of things from the loss to the Chooks.

4 in a row will not be easy, but if it happens it will be epic.

I can see our fans getting excited at starting to turn up in numbers. Kick starting the fans will start with a win over Souths.

If i was still living in Sydney, I would be rocking up at the games.

Yes, I should be going to more games but I can't just cause of family works situation. The funny thing is I do see Critter sometimes at my local shops.
But I do think Chooks is the hardest game they should beat South's then drags ,,Penrith I think maybe resting players and Broncos well that might be a hard one as well. They may also want tMadge sack so they may play the worst game .

I am sure there have been plenty of disruptors that haven't been called in the last 10-15 weeks.

Now that zombie rule is back from the dead, or just perhaps makes a guest appearance occasionally.

Really seems like the reffing is getting worse every season.

Chooks defence was better against the Panthers, but Panthers tried to go wide too often.

We need to orgsnise our right edge defence so Kiraz can defend a bit wider, especially against AJ.

We have conceded a few trys recently with Kiraz jambing in, he need to stay patient and disciplined, work with Tuala and trust Tuala.

No Latrell, but Souths still have a good side, closer to full strength than a few weeks ago.

Bennett is a good coach.

I still think we can win, but it probably will not be a walk in the park.

If we get on top early it could be an easy win, they are great in attack, but often suspect in defence.

Cody is a great player, but he can lose composure and give away some dumb penalties.if our defence can apply some pressure, their attack might make a few errors.

Go Dogs!
