Yeah I agree, it’s purely a money grab for them given they’ve delayed the formation of their women’s team. The fans clearly care and the people of Auckland want a team. If the owners truly care they should stop buggering around and join the league already!
 
Auckland and MacArthur need to be forced to field women’s teams. It’s a joke that they get away with not having women’s teams, especially Auckland who have a billionaire owner.

Freedom of choice? In that case all the women’s teams except the Matilda’s lose money, so should we just let them all fold and have no women’s league at all?

The clubs that have a women's team do so by choice

I agree. Macarthur has an NPLW team (Sydney FC doesn’t and we should). Auckland are getting one but they keep delaying it (just the APL with Canberra United’s men’s team).
