Surely we have the opening game of the championship and as a stand alone. And who would we want it to be against?

The way I understood it was that Strati said there were availability issues with Lakeside for the first round of the Australian Championship, so we couldn't host the opening game on the Friday or Saturday like we did last year. The only home option available was a late Sunday game 5–7pm.

He then asked everyone what they'd prefer: Play the first round at home on the Sunday evening
Or play away in the opening round and then have the choice of when we play in Round 2, which would most likely be on the Friday night

Personally I prefer the first round at home on a Sunday...Dont need the opener again, let some other club have the honours

I'm hoping that the squad has had a brief rest and had the opportunity to recharge the batteries.

I cannot see any change in starting XI. Need to go hard early on and try and kill the match off by halftime. The longer it remains 0-0, the more confidence that the Fremantle players that they could pinch a result.

They score some big goals, as we've seen over the last 2 weeks. We need to keep an eye on Risdon, Domfeh, Ahmedov, and White.

Weather will be terrible on Sunday night, so we'll be lucky to get to 1.5K crowd, which is a real shame.

Need to be careful about Sunday afternoon kick offs. If we can get a Sunday 4.00pm kick off on a sunny day against a somewhat recognisable team should attract 2,000-3,000 crowd.

On the precursor that the opponent commands attention.. u wont get that against a brodmeadow or WA side... you will agajbst an adelaide city on sheer histirical aspects! You will double that easily against a syd utd if the local croats jump on board aswell.
