3 more years? Or the as in next season is the 3rd year? Or clear as mud as much of this process has beenYes. Aus Champ fixtures to be released next couple of weeks. The current system unfortunately will remain as is for 3 years.
Nope doesn't look like that will happen either. Our ground wouldn't be available to the Sunday around 6pm or 7pm so not sure we will be able toSurely we have the opening game of the championship and as a stand alone. And who would we want it to be against?
Why does the opening game have to be Sunday?Nope doesn't look like that will happen either. Our ground wouldn't be available to the Sunday around 6pm or 7pm so not sure we will be able to
It was more about lakeside being available and it was on the Sunday that's how I understood itWhy does the opening game have to be Sunday?
Cos it says the championship starts Oct 16 which is a Friday. Wouldnt have thought we would play Sunday opening game.It was more about lakeside being available and it was on the Sunday that's how I understood it
The way I understood it was that Strati said there were availability issues with Lakeside for the first round of the Australian Championship, so we couldn't host the opening game on the Friday or Saturday like we did last year. The only home option available was a late Sunday game 5–7pm.Cos it says the championship starts Oct 16 which is a Friday. Wouldnt have thought we would play Sunday opening game.
Personally I prefer the first round at home on a Sunday...Dont need the opener again, let some other club have the honoursThe way I understood it was that Strati said there were availability issues with Lakeside for the first round of the Australian Championship, so we couldn't host the opening game on the Friday or Saturday like we did last year. He then asked everyone what they'd prefer: Play the first round at home on the Sunday evening
Or play away in the opening round and then have the choice of when we play in Round 2, which would most likely be on the Friday night
It's baked into the cake for 5 years.3 more years? Or the as in next season is the 3rd year? Or clear as mud as much of this process has been
I seem to recall the foundation clubs concept only being for 2 years. I wonder if they’ll drop that and just go for the qualification model. Top 4 from vic, top 4 from nsw or whatever or persist with thisIt's baked into the cake for 5 years.
The foundation clubs got 5 years guaranteed lolI seem to recall the foundation clubs concept only being for 2 years. I wonder if they’ll drop that and just go for the qualification model. Top 4 from vic, top 4 from nsw or whatever or persist with this
i would go first round Sunday as well. Its daylight savings then as well so works fine.
On the precursor that the opponent commands attention.. u wont get that against a brodmeadow or WA side... you will agajbst an adelaide city on sheer histirical aspects! You will double that easily against a syd utd if the local croats jump on board aswell.Need to be careful about Sunday afternoon kick offs. If we can get a Sunday 4.00pm kick off on a sunny day against a somewhat recognisable team should attract 2,000-3,000 crowd.
