What's not in doubt for me is regulation needs to be tighter, much tighter.....

Governments and regulatory authorities are looking weak as in this respect.

Unfortunately that's the EU for you....Well-intentioned rules that end up creating compliance burdens big companies can absorb while smaller players and consumers get squeezed.
