true re SerieA for so so many people have luved the league since its heydays and players far more the frenchies :)

You know where really fascinates me most is latino/hispanic leagues- obviously we don't have many/any who contribute from those parts plus the leagues haven't got anywhere the exposure we get from EU.

Also I better clear the air re France, I have enjoyed visiting there with the fam and wife over the years.
Also Platini was Legend imo - IF Cantona didn't play for the mancs I'd luv him way more but I can't though I LUV his attitude !
Zidane/Henry/Vieira/Kante admire alot/Benzema a beast of a forward but I can't stand the pounce Mbappe and the french arrogance glad they copped it up the clacker !

good and NOT.
Came in through a tough period give him that, signed some good/great to be players moving forward.
Had a magic early period '01 treble then blew it.
Too rigid in his play, relied too much on Owen so once he got marked out he had no plan B.
Rigid defense again not change.
Persisted playing Carra out of position @ LB, criticised good players like Murphy/Heskey.
He was lucky both our young scousers coming through were tops, Carra and mighty SG !
Overpaid landing Diouf/Diao, such a error.
Diouf was a utter DH ! thought he made it could get away with everything having a LFC shirt on.
I felt sorry for Gerard actually having started so well but lost the plot - sorry he suffered his heart issues but very glad we moved on and went Rafa !

I've been having a bit of a read up of his time at Anfield and his relationship with the city of Liverpool as well.which actually went back ro the late 1960's..

I don't recall that history.
He had done so well and then so bad as mentioned.
Hypia/McAllister/ astute signings/Didi - brought Riise.
I mean he pulled some top players as well that went on alright.
Got some trophy's and why falls apart later didn't make sense back then but he was a stubborn bloke, must be the french thing :)
