Australian transfers 26-27 Summer

From the Portuguese side - this is a bit more detailed.
Thanks, Veritas.

Informative.

Compared to Netherlands, Swiss and Belgium, with similar standing domestic leagues, Aussies have struggled to make a mark in the Portuguese top league. Not sure why?

I've visited Portugal. Love the country! It would be a good place to live and play pro football.

Benfica, Sporting Lisbon and Porto, are big clubs with UEFA pedigree in Champ and Europa League. I'm sure these clubs are better than most mid and low ranked Big Five clubs.

IMO, Portugal playing Spain, were the best technicians in the WC - along with France and Spain.

The language is more difficult to speak than French and Spanish though. English is widely spoken. Hope Irank succeeds and creates more ops for Aussies.

I think you have answered your own question, the Portuguese league is much more technical than the Netherlands, Swiss & Belgium competitions. Like you said the best technicians in the WC were Spain, France & Portugal. Many felt the Spain v Portugal game was boring & true, but to the purist, the technical ability in that game was of the highest quality.

This is why even with the GG, we didn't have many players in the Spanish leagues, Australia, outside a very few, don't produce players of high technical ability.

One of the most beautiful cities is Lisbon just gorgeous I loved Portugal too.

Absolutely fantastic move, the Portuguese production lines are the best in the world.

They payed good money so he should play, less gruelling than the championship and alot of players get stuck there. This was a move worth taking.

I'm buying a sporting shirt the minute the Irankunda one is available.

Was just reading the Everton subreddit after they signed Holly McNamara and someone said they should sign Jordy Bos and wish they were linked with him (they also called Aussies "unbelievable")!!!

Wow if Nestor goes to Hull he'll be in the epl
Playing for Sporting is far above playing for Hull. Sure Hull are prem, but a bottom of the table team compated to Sporting .. on Club ELO Sporting are 1848 which puts them as the 11th best club in Europe!

I dont think people quite grasp how big of a move this is.
