I think we can push you but you probably narrowly win.

A very even match where both clubs could have won it. The mid season transfer signings have really strengthened our starting XI.

Another very good performance by Ramazani in a big match. Nothing really got past him and looked confident and comfortable under pressure from the Preston attackers. Yoo had a great first half but fell away in the second half. In the 65 mins he played, he was a terrier and didn’t stop running creating opportunities. Juach had some glimpses of good touches but as others have mentioned, he looked really underdone. Another week on the training pitch will do him a world of good. Retre is a classy player. We looked much better when he came on. Once he is match fit, we will be that much stronger. Nkwomo had a solid performance stepping in for Lampard. He looks like someone that can provide depth to our defensive set up.

Painter-Andrews had another poor performance. Too many turnovers and how he missed that open goal is beyond me. That goes in and we would have likely won that match. We really need to look at signing a player to upgrade who we have in his spot for the Australian Championship.

Preston is a good team. They’ll definitely play finals and will push to make the grand final. Stupid banners unfurled by the Preston Boys. FV match commissioner would surely have seen it. You’d assume they’ll be receiving fines for those banners.

Saturday afternoon kick offs just done work. The club was forced to move the fixture by FV. If it were held on a Friday night 7.30pm, then it would have attracted another 1-2,000 patrons.

I think we’ll push Oakleigh. The narrow pitch at Jack Edwards Reserve suits Oakleigh, but we will be that bit better next week with Retre and Juach getting fitter and more integrated into the squad.

Oakleigh will go into the match as favourites, but I’m not afraid of them.

Do I
A pass it to the open player
B cut back inside and shoot
C take my fakelaki from Bill Paps for every time I get Moray and Agnew on screen by dribbling into the sign
I cannot for the life of me understand why we persevere with Lackay. He clearly is not up to the standard or quality required to play for us. Apart from speed, he falls over his feet and struggles with his crossing. I understand he’s a kid and had much to learn, but he’s not going to offer anything upfront.

Shake hands and call it a draw? I'd be happy with that haha.

Preston boys need to be banned 100%, the Preston president should have never allowed those dropkicks back into the club.

Our club needs to grow a spine and tell the fv that if we are forced to move our Sunday fixture then we get to choose when its played day or night. Last years crowd was double. It affects us more than anyone else due to the amount of Greek clubs and local football on at the same time at Saturday arvos.

I daresay a bigger crowd will attend the Adelaide game.

ATM .... George Cross doing us a favour by leading, and Avondale and Heidelberg dropped points they would expect to get.

It is on our hands
Thankfully CS George Cross did us a massive favour and defeated Melbourne City Youth. Yes it means that George Cross is now within 2 points of us, but we still control our destiny.

I hate to say it, but the match against Oakleigh is must win. Get 3 points at Jack Edwards Reserve, and that helps to solidify our spot in the top 6.
