Brindabella and White Eagles don't really belong at this level. Not sure what's going on at Belconnen United. Did they run out of money after the Hawker club closed? They should be doing much better considering all the junior clubs associated with them and with no Gungahlin anymore.

They've been doing poorly for a while - it took them a while to earn promotion (yes - they did earn it, at least)

Brindabella and White Eagles definitely don't. Olympic even to that extent. I just find it hilarious that of the 6 clubs that were either included this year, or should have been relegated, the only one doing well is the one that had to actually fight Capital Football to get in.

I'm still subscribing to the theory they only got in because they heard White Eagles were getting included when Gungahlin folded, and kicked up a stink to Capital Football because they had already established what Capital Football 'doubted' they'd be able to do in 12 months, in the space of 2 or 3.

It's a sad state of affairs. Olympic should be doing better as well given their history. Reality is the league lacks depth even though it's only 11 clubs. A lot of talented juniors don't make the step up and some of the older guys that can play at NPL level don't want to train etc so they drop down into the state leagues.

8 and 8 was perfect.

Having South-Western NSW also allowed for adding to that depth, rather than diluting it. That was one point Yoogali and it's defenders made last year.

You say that - but other than those in Canberra who actually want to push themselves (generally no more than one club), no one here wants to travel.

No one in Sydney generally wants to travel past Marulan either.
Capital Football should just absorb the bits of NSW that NSW don't care about. I can't remember which thread I put in - but I tried re-distributing the borders of the 8 (not counting Tasmania) member federations based off their capital city and each area having a catchment that is closer to that capital city than any of the other 7. FNSW aren't smart enough for long term planning like that, I reckon it's more of a preference for the A League team if it ever gets off the ground to play in the NSW system like Jets do

Sick of academy teams there’s already to many good to see jets bulls and jets struggling keep them away from npl 1

I don’t have an issue with B teams. It’s normal in Portugal. However, the rest of the clubs should be able to get promoted to our top tier (A-league). We can’t be just doing favours for these 10 clubs and screw everyone else over.
 
Stuff these academy teams they can all f off for me

Some clubs get lucky when they rest several players against one team and a week later they play them.

Npl clubs need some luck there

Zelen want is it with bankstown or rockdale if they lose they never post it on there official page

In other news bankstown have hit 1 million dollars in player budget
Doing ok 4 th in npl 2

Every country apart from the UK has B teams in the lower tiers.

No problem with them being there since NYL will never come back as long as their in the systems, they just shouldn't have favours given to them like Roar not being able to be relegated or how they plopped SFC/WSW into PL2 instead of making them work their way up from State League at the time

They could only really prop us in NPL 3 to which it would be a waste of time.

First season of us in the NPL system at NPL 2, instantly promoted. Different story if we had a lower league system. A lot of these NPL 3 teams are just to happy to be around, no real ambition to be promoted.

You came in, in 2016. State League still existed then.

Because it's a dead league, you can't relegated even if you have zero budget like Uni & Camden even back when Bathurst were still around they did everything to protect them to the point of expanding the comp so they would stay up lol

Our social team don’t even post about our games that are on yet results it’s abysmal all politics

Yeah, of course with NPL 3 now. With the state leagues, wasn’t it just an extra league with the same closed system?

MY understanding is there's roughly the same amount of clubs across the 3 tiers now as there was then, give or take a couple - yes
