Sampdoria just get it right. I read Brentford will have a kit 2 years in a row or something about sustainability. Schalke similarly have a kit that's often identical so a 2 year run is a good thing. Sales however...

Stoke City and Macron have introduced the club’s 26/27 Away kit ahead of the EFL Championship season.

Inspired by Reginald Mitchell and the Spitfire aircraft,the new Stoke City jersey features an irregular camouflage graphic in green and khaki across the front, shoulders and sleeves. A tonal geometric jacquard pattern is incorporated into the fabric, with dark grey panels running along the sides and covering most of the back.

Red and blue bands finish the sleeve cuffs, referencing the colours used on Royal Air Force roundels. The same combination appears inside the rear neckline, where “RM/SPITFIRE” lettering acknowledges the Staffordshire-born aircraft designer.

A monochrome version of Stoke City’s new crest is positioned on the left chest, opposite a white Macron Hero logo, with bet365 continuing as the main shirt sponsor. A commemorative Reginald Mitchell and Spitfire detail is applied near the lower hem.

One of the things about a kit for me is that I can tell you the team without needing to see the logo. Some of these kits are just random designs. They seem to not really have any key features or feel to them.

We are getting to the point where kits have lost their meaning. Just recycle a new random design each year.

Will do pics later - but finally got my delivery of 3x shirts from FKTTC yesterday ($45 each including postage):
  • Australia 2026 Home - 20 Volpato - Match version
  • Italy 2002 Home - 21 Vieri
  • Juventus 2005/2006 Away - 1 Buffon (since he also wore it as a GK shirt in some matchdays when outfield players wore the yellow third jersey)
Very happy with the quality of the first 2. The Italy one makes me feel like I'm 10-11 years old again. After buying the 'Italy 2000-2002' jersey twice (once with my name, and another in long sleeve), I have finally gotten one that is the right, lighter shade of blue for the time. The Volpato one also makes me feel the same age, but for reasons that are clear in other threads (and the end of this post).

As for the Australia one - I had previously gotten the 'replica' (also fake) version where the only issue was essentially the green colouring (too dark on the jersey, and the numbers were a bit bright). This one seems to be a bit better with the green on the jersey (but still too dark), but the lettering on it seems much more on point. Plus, rubber shield and Nike logo, never thought I'd be able to get a Socceroos one like that on a website like this. If we win the Asian Cup, I might get the away from this website in this style, with whoever gets the trophy for Hero of Cup for us.

The Juventus one... well... it looks the part, until you look at the details. Of the three, it's the one I'm less sold on - the Nike logo and the 2 stars above the non-existent Scudetto are screen printed into the jersey (they were stitched in the real versions) and the breathable panels are not as breathable as they should be (I have compared with the T90 Socceroos jersey I have, as the same era). But, I mean.. to be honest for the price, I can't complain too much. It's better than some other bad fakes I have gotten, but not as good as the real thing.

Will try and post pics later on tonight. Just remind me to photoshop out the complimentary Wizz Fizz bag that came with the Volpato jersey.
