Funny I post that yesterday about Bonada being dissatisfied about the clubs running and like magic we get that from him.
The discontent from certain squad members towards MessyRooney being there is big. I can’t divulge everything I know but just put two and two together as to why so many of the squad players walked in this window.
Even if you’re not a nailed on starter I think most would dream of being at South in this state. When you’re training hard, when you’ve come through the juniors and been at the club 5+ years, earned your right to be in the squad as many have done. And you see MessiRooney get constantly picked. What message does it send.
Perry Lambropoulos was a committee pick but at least he was well liked and a good person. The players could stomach that. MessiRooney’s arrogant and not one person I know who’s played with him has a good word to say.
Parents pay 4.8-5k a year now at South now to see this nepo bs. You don’t think they’re unhappy. It’s said in many circles at South. I’ll keep calling it out because the club needs to be rubbed in their face with it. It’s torn apart a dressing room and I just think Sinisa shouldn’t have come back.
Why come back to this mess. Why come back after Andrew sacks you because you argue you want to release his son. Why come back for a 8-9k raise. You were already underpaid, are underpaid by NpL coaching standards and they don’t give a toss about you. The board never deserved the satisfaction.
I hope Bonada smashes it at Preston. And Kokotis and Andrew sit there speechless like they always do
