Yeah, and having a great game can play into confidence in the penalties. Almost guaranteed that Egypt saw the early movements and immediately relaxed.

I'm not blaming Luke for anything. Maybe he did put up his hand. I think this is where the coach needs to consider all things. It's almost like we had no penalty plan, other than a plan from 10 years ago.

Back when he was at Brighton. I remembered the commentators said he wasnt a good gk for saving a pen. He hardly saved a pen back then. Short hand and usually went the wrong way. He isnt that great to sub on for the shoot out
 
It's just.....

Irankunda is OUR BEST ATTACKER. He's a talent the like we have not seen in so long. He has an x factor and can literally score from anywhere and make a dribble and with some space he can beat ANYONE.

And instead of building of building our attack/counter attack BUILDING the team to USE his BEST STRENGHTS.

WE PLAY HIM OUT OF POSITION, GET HIM FUCKING GASSED BY DOING NOTHING BUT PRESSING AND CONTESTING FOR BALL AGAINST PLAYERS TWICE AND SIZE AND THEN SUB HIM OFF.

FUCK.

I felt that it was all reward no risk when we pressed high, so it was weird to be so passive. I guess its poppa ball, but we were conceding high quality chances in our deep block, but didn't concede any chances of note when playing high

Yeah they looked shaky when we pressed high.
Thing is we couldn't score the second and penalties has so much luck involved, I don't think Ryan covered himself in glory, strange decision with Izzo's penalty history.
I'm pretty devo right now.

Never looked confident to be honest besides Irvine and Awar. Agree on the Beach and considering he has no record of saving penalties

Yep pace to burn and skill and we don't utilise him properly the game was crying out for out and out striker and not Toure
