Australian transfers 26-27 Summer

Ran it thru ai.. the following formations are used..

Leverkusen, Palace = 3421

Fiorentina = 433 or 3421

Trabzonspor, Villareal = 442

Everton = 4231

Of those i think the 433 (as LW) , 442 (as one of the 2 strikers) or the 4231 as the LW suits him best. For me the 3421 which uses 'inside wingers' isnt really his best use. Functions best as a geniune wide man in a counterattacking system, or as the smaller forward playing off targetman. As such i think Everton, Trabzonspor and Villareal suit him best.

Of those possibly Everton who play counter attack and Moyes would like his physicality. Crucially they have now lost Grealish whose loan has finished so Irankunda would get minutes there at least as Dwight McNeils backup, who himself was Grealish's backup.

Villareal he might struggle for minutes. Their main LCF is their topscorer from last season in mikautadze. Their other forwards are Moreno their captain, and then ex premier league players Nicolas Pepe and Ayoze.

Re Fiorentina, their main LW/LAM's were Manor Soloman and Jack Harrison who returned to Tottenham and leeds respectively on loan. So Irankunda would almost certainly get gametime.

Re leverkusen their Inside wingers most definitely function as AMs are covered by Tillman and Maza, so doubtful he'd get much gametime there.

LIkewise Palace also use their inside wingers as AMs are already covered by Ismaila Sarr and Yeremy Pino, sarr had a brilliant season and Pino was a 26mil pound signing and in the Spain squad.

So of those i think Everton and especially Fiorentina would be outstanding moves for him, with formations and counterattacking systems that suit him, with little competition at LW, particularly at Fiorentina. Always liked ACF anyway since the 90s Batistuta Nintendo kit, so if Nestory moves there might start supporting them.
I wonder if Hull would be a good fit?

To answer my own question Hull play a 4-2-3-1 and have minimal competition left wing/forward and potential opportunities at right wing/forward. Noting they will almost certainly strengthen their squad so the scenario may change. The biggest issue would be the step up to EPL football which I feel may be too soon. But if he's a starter maybe its worth the jump.

Anyone else think Clayton Taylor going to League One is a bit underwhelming?
Partly, but if he can have a season anything like RBR did, who played 37 games, then it’s a great introduction to English football. I’m sure RBR developed a lot more than guys like Adamson or Pearman who rode the bench in the Championship. Both Luongo and Burgess played League One when they were older than Taylor is and ended up playing in the EPL.

Who'd we have at Barnsley recently? Gauci on loan?

League One isn't too bad imo. It's been a decent pathway and stepping stone for some of our players Burgess among them. Caveat if he plays.
