Socceroos vs Brazil in September 2026

The FA is screaming there broke yet they can fly out one of the most expensive national teams to Australian shores by playing on small Rugby league pitches.
How do they justify this with crowds of only 18k turning up? Oh wait there milking the money the Socceroos made getting to the world cup and into the R32. Yep great spending once again Football Australia you really know how to run your bank account into zero.
State Governments footing the bill. Should be a money spinner for football.

Pre-sale opened at 1pm today.

By 1:30/1:45pm, when I got to check it out, only single seats were available along the bottom tier, all the middle top tier were unavailable, and the top tier itself - labelled in best BS as Platinum seats - had only a couple of bays where you could buy more than 2 seats.

A bit crappy that they either did not release the better seats or they just go fast (as they have in the past I must admit) but I bought seats for my group in the Suncorp Nosebleeds. $189 each if you were wondering.

Is it September yet?

It won't be funny if Brazil beat us in the final then we beat them in the friendly.

Decided to bite the bullet and go to these games keeping up my streak of attending home games. Discovered hotels in Townsville are booking out very fast and prices in Brisbane are quite high on a Tuesday night. Staying within walking distance of both stadiums (which isn't that far for an old bloke like me).

It is. It's nearer Innisfail which is probably 3 hours from Townsville, 1 and a bit hours from Cairns.
I know I was only 11 when I went, but that place was the standout of a 2 week trip staying in Tully.

That and Ronaldo putting them away during the World Cup
