Far out it's as if the sky is falling with you lot. It's only one game with more to come, things might change, just have some hope.

Sinisa has pretty much lost me now. He looks disinterested, his starting lineups are stupid, our formation is disjointed, he takes too long to make subs when the games start getting away from us.
When all the crap transpired i had written that i couldnt see him getting back to pre ofc final days... unfortinately its slowly being proved correct.... to be honest i can blame the prez for nepobaby and that we play with 10, those fckn 10 need to be in their damned positions though, giannakop isnt a CB, painter andrews can sit on bench till his head gets straight, pasquali isnt a holder and yuki and mikkola shouldnt be holding the midfield as a tight central 2 and you lose all your width. Basic structure ffs
If you're being forced to play Messourouni hand in your resignation, nobody would hold it against him. This situation is only sabotaging his coaching career.
100% this...

My only hope now of thisnis that indeed they learnt another lesson and perhaps there are couple last minute signings.. dont know who

Nothing today made sense. Was just an awful day at Lakeside. We look disjointed, slow and lacking any killer instinct.

I don’t know how we manage to make weaker opposition look so good. With Giannakopoulos moving back to defence meant we lost a bit of our midfield strength. Don’t understand why we didn’t start Menelaou or Leech to replace Giannakopoulos. Our midfield was practically nonexistent.

As for that certain player that was playing in attack, the sooner this ends the better. It does no good to that player or to the team if this continues. Perhaps a stint in the U23s for a game or two would help diffuse the situation.

Cocks and Mikkola were not great today. Worryingly, Mikkola had not been in form for a few matches.

If Bonada had scored one of his two big chances, then we could have been talking about a different scoreline. But maybe that would have papered over worrying cracks.

We desperately need 3 points against Dandy Thunder next week. I truly don’t know whether we’ll do that.

Not sure if anyone noticed but at the end of the match, there was a lively conversation between Sinisa, Pouta, and Football Director.

Sinisa’s body language today was not great. He looks like a defeated man whose players are really letting him down.

Apparently we are trying to sign 3 players but the deal’s are complicated at the moment but Yoo is the only signing we have pulled off
Without player signing reinforcements, I just see our season falling away to a mid table finish. Preston and Avondale have done good business this transfer window.

If we don’t sign a striker and a centre back at a bare minimum, we will definitively finish mid table.

Now the signs suggest that we wont take anything seriously until the Aus championship in October? I meam wtf was my membership for.
I don’t understand why we threw away and self sabotaged our NPL season.

That month of May where the club made that ridiculous decision to play the U20s/U23s was a sign that the club had not taken the NPL seriously enough. We have dropped so many points this season.

We have not won the NPL Victoria title since 2016. This was the year meant to change that - we have just absolutely stuffed this up.

The way other clubs are spending money i think our npl window is over. It was open for us during the Esteban era, money was tight post Covid, Preston were lower in the pyramid, it was set up for us to win at least 1 title but we couldnt get it done.

I’m worried about the depth now if we don’t sign anyone next week, we have let so many decent young fringe players go this window without finding any suitable replacements. This may come back to bite us in years to come. I hope I’m wrong

Problem is they would remain at best fringe players at us (dovison is a good example of who i wouldve kept in place of lackay minimum), i can understand they would be looking for regular football and they wouldnt have broken into the first team, and i agree that our depth is seriously lacking but we are currently in need of ready players, our under 23s have sone serious talent that can fill the fringe need moving forward, this is why this window and the au champ one was so important.. we need a CB and a steiker none of those released cover those key needs imo...

Had we been having this convo npl/ofc start id be arguing same as you and more about need for those players..

Didn't get to the game today as I was at the footy but glad I missed it. I don't understand meneleu played alright vs hume in the middle with Tommy at the back. Hume a team 2nd on the table yet now we have reverted to just pasquali in the middle. There is no presence and control teams cut us up. If meneleu is injured then pope should be starting pope played a big role on staving off relegation last year and deserves more of the chance he's been crucified this season with lack of opportunity. The other alternative being to give coveny or osullivan a go at centre back to move Tommy back to middle.

As mentioned sinisa looks defeated but it's looking more like its not his fault when he has to start a certain player. I was okay with him coming off the bench for 20 minutes or so but he can't be starting ffs. The only good thing he has is a good shot on him and half the time the ball gets stuck between his feet before he can shoot ffs.

He has a good shot off a set piece. I've never seen him strike a good ball in the npl in open play, he gets closed down quickly, ball gets stuck between his feet, then loses it and the opposition launch a scoring opportunity, meanwhile he doesnt run.

Its going to start getting toxic soon because he knows the supporters dont want him, and hes showing early signs of going into epifano mode with the crowd.

Its staggering that his dad is putting him in this position. Its not personal, hes just shit.

We are in a crisis and one president has planted his son in the first 11 whilst the other i think is in Greece living it up.
