Diego Gomez yellow carded in the 77th minute for Paraguay for a foul, becoming the first Paraguay player and second player overall to receive one. He's also received his second yellow card of the group stage and will be serving a suspension in the round of 32 should they advance.

He just wasn’t good enough for the job. The A-League isn’t that good unfortunately so I want coaches to have overseas experience before coaching senior national sides, especially as permanent managers in major tournaments.

Steve Corica going to Yokohama is a big boost for his chances, should he do well over there. Kevin Muscat’s been considered for Rangers and Wolves so he’d be on the list after doing well for Shanghai. Mark Milligan needs an overseas job first. Ufuk Talay is nowhere near the job.
