Socceroos vs Paraguay 2026 World Cup match thread 🇦🇺🇵🇾

Thing is we need to be ready in case the worst happens. Let's get that goal and have some insurance. It'll open the game up but kill time.

Paraguay attacking even more should provide us with good counters.
 
We are playing well especially with the ball we are lacking a bit of cutting edge but we look composed out there.

I think Bos on the right has created a nice rotation with Volpato with overlaps and underlaps, the only issue has been the final ball or shot but it looks to be our best outlet for us.

Nestory is too isolated up front, he needs more support I can see him being subbed off but I would like to see him on the left with Yengi up front given Metcalfe has got the head knock.
 
Good football although irankundu is isolated AF. Not sure how to activate him more he just seems out muscles. Ref needs to stop the hacking from the paraguayans before some gets more injured. Herrington is gold, keep it up. Need better corner delivery for sure.
 
We need to keep up our composure. We've done so well under pressure to find the right touch or pass to keep possession. We keep that up and we nullify chances for paraguay to counter before they even start.

With this LW attempt to get into the box, Irankunda to drift left often or well and truly overload the right
 
Need to move Irankunda to the left side bring on Toure at 9 and try and open up the left hand side - the right side is good but we need to get the final ball right Irvine, Volpato, Bos, look really good, Souttar decent and Herrington looks composed so far but would be great to win this game so
