Even more than this though, we need a CB that is top class.. eliop is out and any makeup without him is not gonna get past the round of 32/16. CB shouldve been the main priority along with a striker..

Totally agree.

Eliopoulos should be ready by the time we face Adelaide United. However, we need another Centre Back to play the 2 other NPL matches that sit either side of the Australia Cup fixture to give the team fresh legs and rest one of the two main Centre Backs. Also, if any Centre Backs may pick up an injury, you have a solid replacement rather than moving Giannakopoulos back to defence.

As for a striker, we need a pretty good striker. He will need to be an import as I cant see any decent striker available in the various NPL competitions that would be freely available (a transfer fee may be required?). Maybe someone from the A League that has been recently released.

Yoo Uchida Mikkola, Cocks, and Bonada leading the attack.

Pasquali and Giannakopoulos behind them.

This is a strong squad. Just 2 more signings required at a minimum to ensure we are ready for the remainder of the season.

How Lackay is allowed to stay and Dovison has departed is beyond me. Dovison has shown more promise and deserved to stay. However that being said, Dovison would have had limited time coming off the bench. At Bentleigh he will be starting every week and geting full matches.

Just a shame he has departed. He was a handy player.

Lopez
Lampard
Jankovic
Eliopoulos
Painter-Andrews
Pasquali
Giannakopoulos
Uchida
Yoo
Mikkola
New Striker

Bench - Cocks, Swibel, Menelaou, Bonada, Leech, Mesousouni, New Centre Back, Inglese, Pope, Charlston

I'm not including Lackay, Coveny, and Singh as they should hopefully be loaned out to other clubs.

That bench is pretty strong. Like I said and am sounding like a broken record - just 2 more quality additions at a minimum required.

I think we should look at upgrading the Right Back position. Painter-Andrews has been good, but can we further upgrade in that role?

For a second after the annpuncemtn i forgot nepobaby was there...ill go on the record we dont need a striker Nepo with all that support will be top scorer.....not!

ID be happy with a Lavalle if he was released...

Agree but id drop.Inglese from that and add a younger right back ... wouldnt even let nepobaby shine the boots!

The one thing I can think of that would hold people back would be that we’re playing in Asia for the first time in 9 years and people might want to save their money for that instead.
