Gee, I don’t know. How about we look at our last two games?
Alternatively, let’s see if we can identify any successful teams that hoped to draw the first half and then bring on their best team?
Is he injured? If not how can he be unfit? He’s played 90 minutes in the Championship.
How can a 20 year old run out of energy?

Volpato is all hype, pure superstition if I think he can score goals for the national team. Id have Yengi come on as a sub then the Italian.

Apparently he was cramping up by the end of the last game despite only playing 45 minutes and was cooked by the start of the second half in the first game. Shouldn't be an issue for a 20 year old but apparently it is?
Only thing I can think of is that playing a whole season in an English Winter at 5 Celsius is not great preparation for playing games at
25 Celsius.
Weird that the English, German, Scandinavians etc play in freezing cold European leagues and can still play more than 45 mins on a warm day.
Btw. You do realise the English season did not end in the middle of winter?

Any good previews (podcasts or articles) that get into the tactical stuff. I've already listened to soccerwhos, round ball, f360, GGFC.

I've seen Mile Jedinak and Paul Okon, assistant Roo coaches state in video interviews, both claim what critical pundits, like Bozza, and fans at home, don't get to see, are the players in practice and camp.

Both sagely claim the Roo coaching staff have a far better idea of training loads/fatigue/recovery/injury niggles etc, than former players / pundits and fans at home.

I've read where one former Roo, now pundit (Tommy Oar?), claims that by playing less defensively minded Toure, Iran and Volpato together, they will cause less work for the Roo defence, because they will be keeping opposition defenders busier because of attacking prowess, than more defensive forwards/attackers/wingers - Metcalfe and Villupillay.

They def wont score from a corner, and Im sure we will be fine at countering there set peaces. I'm picking a draw or narrow loss if Poppa does us dirty with the squad selection once again. A none bias Ref would also help.
That last ref was so biased!

If he was incompetent, he would have made mistakes for both teams.

Agree that an impartial ref would be good!
