i'm not in the know in terms of the politics of Melbourne FV, perhaps @Mkfc can back it up

But to go back to what the gents said on the podcast, you're suggesting that Hellas would of needed to play on that same pitch knights did over the weekend? or you dont get special treatment from the FV?

who get's the special treatment, Oakleigh?

from outsiders' perspective looking in, looks like the greek clubs & FV are in each other's pockets.

Have been to BT Connor 3 times in past couple of years and have NEVER been called a "Southern mouni" or to jam my "Oceania up my arse" whatever that means... Just a friendly smile, a "good luck, enjoy the game" at the ticket booth and great food.

Only natural that the biggest clubs tend to have some more mutual respect than the rest!! Not exactly that rosey though!

No, South itself wouldve refused to play i assume and rightly so! knights shouldve done the same, lost the game anyway wouldve just added an extra goal to the score! Knights shouldve worked harder being the club they are to not have dropped, thats not an NPL ground, it is however a lower tiers ground unfortunately and we have all played on both good and bad over the years!

Choakleigh for 1 yes, Avo for another...hardly 1 nationality.... if knights have proof come out and share it abd we will suppkrt it, otherwise they can keep the hyperbole to themselves... i mean complaining they got done for a flare aimed at the ground and players etc as proof of a conspiracy is super rich even by their standards... deflection at its best, bc i missed the memo for the greek community meeting in which we instilled the decree to keep the Croat clubs down in Melb! Hahaha

outsiders can say what they like..just like thay like they did when they call you all nazis doesnt mean 8ts the reality though yeah!! My club is clean of these inuendos!

they also mention, Preston, Dandy City and the treatment of most clubs by the Federation.

This isnt just a one off incident.

That's the whole point, they didn't have a choice it was play,or forfeit the game.

Your lower league comments are irrelevant, it's still the NPL and no player welfare was taken into consideration, that pitch is a disgrace. The Federation cares more about what scarves, T-shirts and comments people are making in the stands then what is presented on the pitch.

This isn't a Melbourne Knights issue, it's a Football Federation issue.

Plus they were so far away all I could hear was the one kid selling watermelon with his ambulance alarm.

At the end of the day you expect it from so call rivals... its when your "own" does it that annoys me... Couldnt give a stuff what Cros or Macos or Turks or Skips think of Greeks.

Sure, except I did hear the rant quite frankly and again whatever good points they make (and i agree with most) are lost in the hyperbole and i stick by that fact.... agree or not, thats the magic of debate!

Ive not hidden my admiration for past NSL clubs but the accountability here falls with the FV for allowing the game and knights for playing it.. the rest is conspiracy theory 101....

Still cant fathom thoufh why the need to mention South!
