Socceroos vs USA 2026 World Cup match thread 🇦🇺 🇺🇸

Just watched the Poch interview and already the media is labeling us as a physical side and referencing the referees. You can bet we now end up on the wrong side of some referee calls.
 
After we lose tomorrow morning Im asking the admin to lock and ban this thread just to save the salt. To much salt is no good for you and you will be thanking me health wise.
 
Gez it's like we're playing Argentina or France or something it's the USA and they don't fear me at all. Team effort including subs and take our chances and settle the first 20 minutes and frustrate them we got this. Pressure on them as host nation and not many many picking us.
 
Will be a tough game. Need faster and more accurate transition for poppaball. When we did it last time irankundu scored, but we were to inconsistent and not accurate enough. Wonder if volpato could be that. Likewise need better dead ball. We won't get many chances so things like corners really need to be made to count. Also need to slow the game. Think the USA are a confidence team and once they get their steam up are going to be hard to contain. I'm afraid the ref could play too big a role, wouldn't be surprised if we inadvertently foul their faster players and go down a player. Likewise if we score they'll get desperate and start fouling as they'll have home crowd pressure. It's going to be a hard tough game. Nervous AF
 
Tried to get to bed early but woke up after about 5 hours just too nervous guess im staying up all night 😅
