NPL 2026

The problem with both Heidelberg and Preston is that they are historically and continue to be political football clubs. Thats not to say we havent been dragged into this at times but i dont think as a club this sort of stuff motivates us, its actually emberassing and our club took a huge hit post nsl when it had to start dealing with this nonsense again.

Both clubs need to get over it, most of them are from the same villages up there, all this try hard bravado on the other side of the world is laughable.

Not to take a stance on whether it’s a good or bad per se, because clearly it can be a source of strength for some clubs but the said thing could also be said about Sydney Croatia and Melbourne Croatia too. Their very founding was a political statement at the time, it’s built into the clubs dna and identity in a way that maybe is the case for a club like South Melbourne Hellas, Marconi, Adelaide city etc etc

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with either take.. a club has every right to be a political entity if it so chooses to... Its not what I want from my club but can't begrudge anyone else to have it at theirs.
 
I will always support my greek teams against Preston, no matter where they are on the ladder. Go Heidelberg!

i just cant believe how much Bankstown are spending, and still manage to get pumped on the weekend.

All this money spent could’ve got them a new clubhouse instead of the rundown facility they have now

I mean we definitely could be united if a certain club dropped its ego. Seems like every Greek club in Melbourne is united, atleast on principle, except one bad egg.
