Tim Ream yellow carded in the 50th minute for the United States for a foul, becoming the first USA player and second player overall to receive one.
 
Miguel Almiron yellow carded in the 52nd minute for Paraguay for diving, becoming the second Paraguay player and second player overall to receive one this match, and Tim Ream is let off the hook following VAR review.
 
Using VAR to rescind a first yellow, "mistaken identity" almost a loophole there but the Paraguayan player did dive.
