Teams often lose after playing us, but the Tigers getting lapped is a worry.

Teans are even thjs year and when they are on the bottom sides are dangerous.

Just try to win as many games a possible a lower no of wins might make the 8.

Would had been good to see the Sharks going down to the Saints but on the flip side if the Dragons start winning we are a risk of the spoon as well : Our season from tomorrow could go either way on the ladder .

Dragons were surpisingly bad in the second half, confidence is an issue for teams.

I am worried about our confidence, there is nothing wrong with our team that a few wins, getting some players fully fit, and a couple of changes wouldn't fix,

With Mann out i am hoping that we try Readon at dummy half or Hayward can play 80.

O'Sullivian is ok at hooker / lock, he was apparently ok in reserve grade last week.

Looking at reserve grade Hopoi, Spinks and O'Sullivan are named, looks like Tracey is playing? We might even see Tracey play some minutes at hooker.

Mann is probably out injured and has been injured for several weeks?

I don't see us sliding too far down the table unless we promote some young players, they don't work out and we get more injuries.

It isn't too late to make the 8, but we need to play a lot better.

Taking a gamble on more young players might give some of our other players a chance to get injury free.

The big problem in reserve grade is defence is substandard. It will be easier to promote young players if they defend well.

Cocherane is playing 5/8 in reserve grade with Dykes at FB.

We are leading the Eels 26-0 after 21 minutes.

Hughes, O'Sullivan and Hopoi are not playing, the last 2 guys could be playing NRL.

A good win today and a bye next could spark some confidence in the guys for the top eight but I think it just might give them a sniff but reality can't really see winning more than three or four more games this year. Very disappointing. We went out the back door to the semifinals last year and sort of continued this year .
I would try some young guys and get ready for next year.

I am not going to mwke any predictions until I see today's performance.

Reserve grade is promising, some young guys may be pushing for promotion.

Currently 44-0.

Hopefully the Eels NRL side can copy what their reserve grade is doing :)

At the game we are a bit of shambles attack is very average Eels replacements brought their A Game .
Might get the great escape .

Are our guys immune to the idea of running hard up the middle play after play at the opponents end ?

We need to replace the attacking coach with a smart 3 year old.

I hope Cirro can sort them out at halftime.

Reseve grade won 60-4, some of those guys know how to attack.

Game against the Tigers was pretty intense, we backed up better than they did.

Our passing, kicking and decision making was terrible.

Even the defence had some bad lapses.

We need to stop playing injured players and give some young guys a run.

Tracey at fullback is 50/50, our spine needs a lot of work.

Not sure if Burto was hurt, bye is coming at a good time.

Definitely not a top 8 team but hopefully the players now have a bit of taste of victory .
I thought Cirro summed it up well, we got nervous in attack, this game was probably the worst performance like that for a few years.

Aside from executing at the opponents end, we get a lot of stuff right,

Players just need to simplify the game, play fast run hard, trust their instincts, throw fewer passes.

And we need to do a lot of practice on short kicks.

This version of the Dogs is way off. But getting some players fully fit, a few changes, and a bit more confidence we could be a lot better.

I doubt that we can get worse.

Lucky that we were only playing the Eels, they were terrible and we got some luck. The Dragons and Titans would have beat us. And the Broncos would have put 20 on us in the last 15 for a 20-12 win.

Good to see Critter back in the midst of things probably needed it . Winning by a good old-fashioned penalty kick you don't see that too many these days.

Considering why the attack was so bad aganst the Eels, i think that the factors which can change are fatigue, injuries, confidence, training, combinations, decusion making, team selection, bench roation, luck.

And the factors which can't change are player limitations.

The main player limitations are Burton, Tracey and Xerri are not great at passing.

Galvin and Haywood are inexperienced.

Tuala is better suited to centre than wing.

Haywood is not well suited to playing 80 mine at hooker.

Salmon often stifles or slows down our attack. I noticed that a few runs he took against Parra slowed our momentum.

Can Salmon play starting hooker? if he occasionally runs from dummy half thst might be ok.
